in an ideal world , it would be nice to sign Polworth and Shankland  , and put McShane , Cooke and McPherson out on loan.

Not like people buying season tickets would help get players in at all.

    Really f**king clueless

Just like to sit at home on your computer with a face like a skelped arse moaning like f**k on a forum.

Hate to tell you but your post sums up the reason why we don’t have the budget to attract players like Stewart...

Gawd .  I just hate it when put your sensible hat on; but you are right I watched the highlights and he seemed to do quite well and I know some of those Jack picked didn't quite make the grade and some of AS's also

Ah, the deadline. Is this you making it up as you go along or do you have a hotline to Reilly?
Reilly had ample time to sign his second, improved contract offer. Nobody chased him away - he loitered without intent for far too long and we had to move on.
Here's an idea, why not get behind the team and the manager, rather than trying to undermine every move Stubbs makes?

It makes sense for Miller to want to come here. He’s played for the two biggest clubs in the West of Scotland, now he could end his career by playing for the best club.

Of course we should sign Kenny Miller it's a no-brainer.  Apart from Mullen we're struggling up front at the moment.

It baffles me that some don’t see the merits of signing Kenny Miller. I for one hope the deal is concluded before Friday.

I actually don't think Livi are better at building from the back, but I will agree that they seem to encourage a system that has tall, bustling players in the back 4 and when it comes to playing at the opposite end of the pitch, especially in set plays, they crowd the box with these tall players and hope to get something out of the panic that ensues.
I actually don't mind it as a tactic, it is faintly amusing as it takes football back to yesteryear and tells me that in some cases not much has changed!
Personally I don't see how that is 'building from the back'.

Correct it is Stubbs job so let him get on with it stop bitching like so many others on here if that means he needs to rebuild for next season aswell then so be it he will be in a better position to get people on pre contracts next year that we missed the boat this year due to the manager situation.

We are never a club that will go a season without some sort of rebuilding.

Makes no difference if we sign players on 1 year loans or take gambles on free agents floating about just now on 1 year deals

I’d rather Stubbs makes that judgement because it’s his job and managerial future that’s on the line.

Loan signings have played a huge part in any success we’ve had in recent years yet some people still look at loans as a negative thing who care if it’s 2 or 10 if we get a successful season then it’s bloody worth it.

    Really doesn't matter.
A lot of people seem to forget the football isn't cycles of multiple years for players/coaches to be on one team. Apart from the top level, where the money means they can have massive amounts of depth and players tied up for multiple years. Now coaches and players will be on the move close to once a year, with any managers needing to build an entire team every summer.
    You need to use
Transfers, although we've paid for one transfer I'd very much doubt we'd sign more than one player a year for any sizable fee Pre-Contract Agreement rule; something we've got two players out of, one already away from the club, and can be a struggle of clubs our size to budget 6 months ahead, due to all the variables. Wait until players are out of contract, and hope your offer is better than whatever else they are getting offered Loans, low-risk potential high reward. Sign players from bigger clubs who need football, if they are good they get their move on if they're bad we can send them back to their parent club early. Ideally, they do well, then we get the chance to keep them using the two methods above like happened with Cammy Smith. The only thing you're potentially going to miss out on with loans is transfer fees. I quite like the use of loans, they offer a lot more flexibility for finances than a straight contract, with the parent club potentially paying part of the wages. They've served us pretty well the last 10 years or so, and seen quite a few players stay to play here. Carey, McGowan and Smith being examples. I'd go as far as saying the majority of the better players we've had in recent history have been loan signings.

I just love all the sage wisdom on here around KM's managerial/coaching abilities and the circumstances under which he left Rangers and now Livi.
I (like everyone else on here regardless of the pish they might spout) know the square root of eff all about the aforementioned. It did seem to me that he had a training ground meltdown at an utterly shambolic Rangers, because he simply couldn't take any more of the nonsense, but like I say, I don't know.
I'll tell you what I do know about Kenny Miller though. For literally his entire career he has been the absolute epitome of a model professional. He has taken whatever talents he was blessed with and maximised them to the limit. In an depressingly turgid era for Scottish International football, he was a bright light, was always available and deservingly finished his international career as something like the 5th of 6th highest Scotland scorers of all time. At the age of 38 I expect he is still twice as fit as umpteen top division players much more junior to him in years.
Maybe (just maybe), he might be a little past it for what we need, but I wouldn't bank on it. If we could get him on some sort of appearance based deal, I'd accept him with open arms. I realise that is probably unlikely though and I'd reluctantly agree that he probably isn't worth the risk of an expensive contract.

    What a legend!
So if I get this right - I’m a season ticket holder at Melbourne City and have seen this boy for the last 2 years but you’ve “been to games” in Australia? Hope you enjoyed your holiday but you have no idea what you are talking about.
The boy will be a really good player but he has been playing in a shite league and got a run on for one of the worst international teams at the WC.
So I’ve watched Arzani extensively but it would appear you haven’t actually watched Arzani or Johnston so you’re just blowing a lot of hot air.
    Happy to help f**kface.

Truly sad for anyone suffering from degenerative diseases.

I personally have always enjoyed listening to Billy, it’s possible that I own a copy of every video tape/dvd/record/tape that he’s done [emoji4]

I also enjoyed his ‘World tour’ programmes, someone who can entertain so many people over so many years truly has talent.

Hopefully, we haven’t seen or heard the last of him yet.
