Did anyone else spot what i thought was a nailed on penalty for us 2nd half when I think it was Mullen was running through their box looking for a cutback and their defenders was basically cuddling him for want of better explanation for about 6 or 7 steps. From directly behind in Main stand it looked a cert.
It was like he was trying to run with a big tangerine rucksack. I though me and the fellow beside me were going to lose a lung bawling about it.
Our main side assistant was as bad as Beaton. Gave us absolutely nothing and the first foul we did get right in front of him he reacted to Beaton whistling and slowly raised his flag to pretend.
Total howler also when he just assumed a ball was going dead flagged for goalkick early and then just brazened it out when Mullen got the sole of his boot to it and stopped it well before going out.
Between them they allowed Utd players to plough through the back of our forwards time after time to the point that they probably thought  just outright taking them out the game like MacKenzie was fine for them to do. Connelly's first move every high ball was a shove into the back of his forward.
Crowd were magnificent. Pressure and edginess meant a little bit quiet and outdone by good noisy Utd support at times but gave great backing throughout and loud when it mattered to lift the side.
Well done all the young uns ...didn't realise the level of WoahhhhhhhhWoahhhh during Utd spot kicks, great stuff..

I'm not one to criticise refs after games. They are only human, and it is incredibly difficult to get every call right when things are happening so fast (and nowadays you have players cheating thrown in to the mix as well).
However, over the two games there have been a series of utterly baffling head-scratching "are you f**king serious?" decisions that could have seen us relegated. Not least yesterday we had a perfectly good goal chopped off, a penalty awarded against us, a red card against us, and two red card calls for United not given - every single one of them clearly the wrong decision!
If these are the best refs the SFA can provide then its clear there is a massive problem in Scotland.
Surely we need to look at bringing in VAR and bring in expertise from overseas to run both the VAR system and the SFA's dysfunctional appeals and compliance system.
These things are always said to be "too expensive for Scottish football" but its a multi-million pound industry in this country, and every club already has multiple cameras at every game. VAR installed on a smaller budget might bring some problems but it can't be worse than the nonsense we have been subjected to this season from the 4 penalties at Ibrox to Beaton's attempt to relegate us yesterday!
I'd expect the club to be making some noise over this in the coming days, and to appeal Nazon's red card whether he is going to be staying here or not.

Nelson is a wee bit above himself but I don't really care Oran has class way above Nelson. Oran is a far better manager to pull off the January window with a fraction of what Dundee United spent shows we have the better manager.
To punch the air as Nelson did after extra time surprised me he had the game won he thought. Anyone know how what end penalties should be taken ? That was Mr Nelson's last excuse of the play off where the shoot out took place was not good for his players. 
Dundee United tried every trick in the book to make it better for them. No Shed for us unlike last season , no drum , no flags. 
 Nelson was right with his comment  Dundee United have woken up but not at the expense of the club we all love.
Had a great night in Rothesay when I got back so many well wishers telling me they were glad we are staying up and sending over drinks. Pub phoned me a taxi when it was time to go home. The driver Bob is a big Morton fan he came into the pub to get me and gave me a big hug well done he said. Even had my scarf out the window of the car going through Greenock, well you have to.

I'd love to know why Beaton and the linesman were both in Hladky's face before and after every penalty but didn't seem to be on the United keeper's case. It looked like Hladky was standing behind the line rather than in front of it before every penalty was hit. After the 3rd United penalty Beaton and Hladky were almost eyeball to eyeball.

They seemed to run out of gas towards the end, loved his wee fist pump when it went to penalties only to be left with his head in his hands 5 minutes later

We weren’t exactly setting the heather on fire with regard to league form when he was here last. I think he would be exactly the type of striker we need right now, strong fast and knows the way to goal. If we were willing to spend on Kenny Miller, then we should splash out on a stmirren legend. 

Reading some crazy logic that because brad left the ground before there was contact then it’s not a foul it’s a dive.
 
That’s just crazy so if someone comes flying in two footed and you know it’s coming you have just to keep your legs planted and take the hit and chance of a broken leg.
 
The rules even state there doesn’t even need to be any contact for it to be a foul.

You can clearly see the Alloa defender in the replay he turns his right side into brads path as they get closer together so it’s a foul.
 

My thoughts on it are that if the referee thought it was a dive, why did he not continue play and have a word with the player. He had only booked him a few minutes earlier for a challenge. 
It was so far out from goal, i couldnt see why he would want to go down, as if he beats his man, he has a chance of a shot on goal as the other defenders are pulled away from him with other players runs.
You can clearly see from the replay the defender is showing his left shoulder out, waiting for Brad to get closer to him, then when he sees that he is going to continue his run by his open side (the defenders right), he puts his right shoulder in front to put up a block and prevent him getting by.  There is no simulation, clear contact. If he did play for the foul fair play, though weigh this up against Alloa player going down in the box 2nd half, waving his arms about in frustration, ref  waves play on. I've never understood this one. If you think he went down in the box and no penalty, could the player have dived to win a pen, therefore merit a booking?

It depends how you look at it. In some ways Hammill was a luxury player, you often don’t realise he’s there but his fantastic dead ball delivery and ability to score resulted in a fair few goals for us. Likewise Andy Dorman could do nothing for a while, but had this magic ability to score from nothing and remind you why he’s there. Sometimes it’s the luxury guy who will secure the vital three points or that last minute equaliser.

Same Saints fans spoiling a topic with petty ramblings. About time Div done something. Sad.

Ellis Plummer, Adam Drury, Luke Conlan, Emmanuel Sonupe - All pish.
Paul Lawson and Craig Storie not great either.
Not a loan signing, but Nick Hegarty ex-Grimsby town left back was honking.

Graham Carey and Paul McGowan both in the 'best' line-up, for me. Carey playing just in front of Dummett, maybe. Don't forget Harry Davis and Cammy Smith.
Oh, and it was McPhee that Fenton failed to square the ball to. Don't think McPhee scored for us, but he was a decent player.
Fenton now manages my local side, South Shields.

I would let Hodson go. He is apparently on a very good wage and P McGinn is a better right back anyway. Hodson has been in midfield last two games but lacks any creativity and IMHO Cammy McPherson is a far better option in midfield.

If lifted it will be a one off for Hampden for the duration of the Euros. No need for it at domestic Scottish games, no need at all.

This has been my experience the last two home games. I emailed the club but no response back yet. I must have had to log back in about 10 times during the game, constant freezing and commentary out of sync. I’ve used many other clubs tv services this season for away games and all have worked perfectly. Anyone else having problems?

I don’t care about getting my money back I just want a service that actually works.
