One of the best keepers in the UK note he has already played in Newcastle's first team could easily move to the EPL where the all-round level of keepers is quite low Sevco were nuts to let him go

The powers that be in the SPFL, the process, the SFA oversight, the appeals process, the timescales, the decisioning, the consideration for wider issues and breaches... Everything about this has been a shambles and again shines a light on the inept nature of those running our game at various levels.
At a very quick glance, (only looking at SMFC fixtures, accept Hamilton & Motherwell may have had fixtures over a couple of these weeks) I can see nine possible fixture periods to make up these games since the charge was brought and when the SFA will convene to hear the appeal. There is absolutely no reason such a severe punishment should have been considered for these breaches. People can claim the Aberdeen & Celtic situations were drastically different but the bottom-line is, the games couldn't get played because of Covid breaches and the clubs were found accountable for their players (proven in the punishments handed out). To think Aberdeen management and other staff/ players were not aware nearly a team worth of them were going to the pub that evening is also laughable.
From what I can tell, the only part of the recent Covid quiz issued which got overwhelming support was no to automatic 3-0 walkovers. On what planet did the disciplinary panel think this would be a suitable punishment given the varied Covid breaches by other players, clubs and football associations the world over?
Given now the situation in England, other suspected team breaches (Dundee United and Celtic) up here that have not been investigated and the SFA's own breach of protocol, surely there is little option but to get the 3-0 forfeits in the bin?
In a time where many football leagues are struggling, we yet again manage to stand out from the rest in our embarrassing handling of a situation.

Will watch with interest to see how this blatant and very public breach of guidelines and procedures is treated by the footballing authorities!

Surely QoS allowing that prick Galloway PLUS his family attend their game at the weekend is a blatant breach of public health procedures yet despite police saying they had been made aware of the breach (no further action bar a word in their ear basically) not a word from the SPFL. Seems odd.

Thoroughly agree with your comments JG has to manage the players during this ridiculous schedule whoever thought of sending us on a eight hour roundtrip to Dingwall on Boxing Day.Re the Covid situation we were unable to travel the night before and stay in a hotel and of course the pre match meal in Inverness was cancelled late on causing change in travel plans. Not the best preparation for players camped in a coach for four hours. We have played better and the result in most important.Personally delighted to be seventh in the table with our strongest squad for some time and a League Cup Semi to look forward to and yes we are more than capable of lifting the trophy.COYS

It's a ridiculous schedule so I see it more as a rotation policy by Goodwin rather than him giving players a chance to impress.

Not getting the criticism of Morais. Yes his decision making is poor but he beat their full back umpteen times today and forced their keeper into a couple of saves. He also doesn't hide and is always looking for the ball. If he was a finisher as well he probably wouldn't be playing at our level.

As a squad we are doing fine right now. Let's hope this transfer window doesn't upset what is a pretty harmonious apple cart.

If we get these 2 games back it wouldn't be unreasonable to expect to get 4 or 6 points off them,  Top 6 finish would be well within our grasp,  reach the league cup final, This could turn out to a really good season for us.
But lets not get carried away like Tony, lets take it one game at a time and keep our feet on the ground
But maybe 🤔 if Jim has identified a wee gem of a striker from Ireland when the window opens, Someone in the mould of a Robbie Keane would do it,
We could easily do the cup double and finish top 3  🏆🏆

I'm finding it difficult to go along with the optimism expressed by some about last night's game. Thought there were too many of our players who didn't play to form. McGrath and Erhahon never exerted any control of the game in midfield, Erwin did very little upfront and Mason struggled all game before his sending-off. Disappointing because up till now I've thought he was a decent find, but last night he was the one who was found out! I also didn't think Shaughnessy had his best game for us.
Thought Durmus and Obika were going to change things when they came on, but each of them squandered a good chance then dropped out of the game again. No real spark against a Hibs team which didn't look all that great, apart from Nisbet's goal which was a quality finish. Only to be expected from someone with his reputation, though you could argue that the ball shouldn't have got to him in the first place.
I'm not usually so critical of our lads, but I have to say it as I saw it. Hopefully the spark and belief will be back when we go to Dingwall at the weekend.
    As always, COYS!!

Wasn’t a great game but hey we were playing the third best team in Scotland and we certainly deserved at draw at least. One criticism however was our use of subs.We did lose our shape somewhat with Ethan our only midfielder thought that if subbing MacPherson and McGrath the obvious replacements were Flynn and Foley.Dennis just looks lost at this level.Anyway on to County and Jake back.

What I'm not quite understanding is that in every league table I look at, both Motherwell and Hamilton are credited with the points they gained through the SPFL decision, which is technically under appeal, which essentially makes these decisions and outcomes as a temporary position rather that a confirmed decision. Yet no asterisks or bracketed explanation at the bottom of each table!?
I'm not suggesting that we may have to ultimately accept our fates, but the league currently should not be skewed by the decisions until it is completed properly, right through all appeal procedures. So that should reflect 6 points less for Motherwell and 3 less for Hamilton and also games to be played by all teams involved, i.e. two less for Motherwell & Saints and one less for Killie and Hamilton.
Innocent until proven guilty and all appeal procedures are exhausted comes to mind.
All I want is consistency, so the transgressions by all are treated the same way. As has been said before, how can relegation or a European position be decided by the inconsistent decisions of a Kangaroo court?

That was a game we would probably have lost in the past but despite not being at our best we ground it out today. Substitutions all played their part and when you think Flynn and Foley were both unused on the bench we do now have some strength in depth. McAllister added that missing link from middle to front and his ability to see a pass and get quality crosses into the box has never been in doubt, just a pity that we can’t seem to get a full 90 mins from him.
Some run that we are on and let’s enjoy it as this is all very un-St Mirren like 😂 - worth remembering though we have a very young midfield and no doubt their form will dip at some point. That is when we will need to use our squad and ideally likes of Flynn and Foley can come in and do a job. JDH is making a massive difference to us in the middle of the park and hopefully behind the scenes we are doing all we can to try and get him on an extended deal.

Magnificent response to what had been a poor performance by Goody. Mason and especially McAllister and Obika pulled us through that today. What a run this is now, a Juggernaut almost. On to Easter Road for what could be a classic. Huge effort from everyone at the club, loving it.

See that attitude after we lost the equaliser?
The refusal to let the heads drop or self pity to creep in or accept extra time as an outcome. So despite being outgunned, deciding to use the last few minutes of normal time to go for their throat.
That sort of attitude is what gets an entire fanbase onside whether you win or lose. Its never all been about winning or losing for us or we wouldn't be buds. You want a side who isn't scared and shows no respect. Our entire performance outwith the first 25 mins was great but the attitude from the 89th - 95th minute last night, at a point where they should have had their heads down and feel sorry for themselves was just incredible.

Don't agree.  The big question is "When will they overturn the ridiculous punishment of 3 nil defeats against us and let us play to win the 6 points ?"

We were terrific in the first half our passing was a delight to watch in the second half we were forced to defend more but have to say I thought we were comfortable. Our midfield is really good also good options in midfield on the bench.I have a hunch we will try to improve the striking dept in the window but guess that will be difficult.COYS.
