The one thing that strikes me about this signing compared to other the other guys above is what Jack Ross said after the Qos game when he gave %'s of the "makeup" of the player's that he wants. I can't remember the amounts but the % relating to the players feet was the lowest with head and heart (I think) being the higher %'s required.

The three three loanees always struck me as guys that were more "feet" than head or heart. Gallagher I feel did play with heart last season but for one reason or the other hasn't had a chance to show that this season.

However what he'll see in Todd is a guy that is hungry and wanting to take his chance. He'll see a bit of himself in him (remember Jack was late to get back into the senior game). He maybe felt these guys who were on loan from 2 of the bigger clubs in the country didn't have the desired hunger, head or heart to get us out this mess.

I hope that Jack has recruited well, I hope these guys have the head and heart that is needed to get us out this mess.

I'm totally at a loss getting to grips with this thread. Being a SMISA member I dont give a toss if there is one guy on the committee or one thousand girls and guys on the committee . As long as some good is being done for the club if that's painting the toilets black and white , helping to get a player in or just buying a reading lamp for the refs dressing room then great its something that may not have happened if not for SMISA and its members.  Seriously some people have too much time on their hands. 

There is a absolutely nothing constructive or progressive in the feedback you provide, though. You are constantly on what feels like a witch hunt involving specifically named individuals within the club who you seem to have a fetish for getting into trouble or sacked for what is (in your own opinion) underperforming. Now I'm in no position to suggest that the said individuals are performing perfectly within their role but like everything else, this club is a work in progress.
Everything you say or even intimate towards SMFC on here is dripping in bitterness, resentment and suspicion and that clouds your judgement seriously on providing any sort of reasonable and measured input. That, I would imagine, is why SMFC have again, spurned your offer to 'help' them. As they are aware that when things don't go your way on an issue, you'll throw a massive tantrum and walk away. You did it when SGG knocked back your business proposal and held a decade long grudge, you did it when we sacked Tom Hendrie and you did it almost instantly with the SMISA membership.
Frankly, no one wants your help as, whilst you may have decent ideas, you're a loose cannon, difficult to deal with and ultimately not worth the effort it would take to fawn around and pander to you to keep your precious ego swollen and short temper placated.

There is another way of looking at it too.
The games we have played are in the past. Forget them and consider this.
If the season started on Saturday, and was 18 weeks long, are we seriously saying we cant possibly earn 7 or 8 points more than at least one part time team in that time? THAT is the nature of the problem we are staring at. Not what Gilmour did or did not do to Danny, not how many f**king board members SMISA has, not the sacking of Rae or the signing of Hutton.
We can whine and bleat about form so far all we like. We can even, bizarrely, blame our community problems. I however prefer not to live like TC or Dicko. I prefer to wallow in misery once the battle is actually finished. THAT is the absolute minimum requirement for a winning mentality and I sincerely hope Jack is able to successfully impress that upon the players on a daily basis.
It is the utter inability of fans to focus on what is important which staggers me most. It is the lack of resilience of fans which takes my breath away. It is their caustic attacks on all other more stable suporters as deluded f**kwits which should be challenged wherever it occurs.
We are about to witness history in the next 5 months. Either we will be relegated with half the supporters crying like f**king jessies since August or we will witness a comeback that we will probably be talking about for 30 years or more. Do we want to face this like adults or like children?
Do we accept the challenge and support our team to the death or do we sit and cower like pathetic OF fans when they dont win every game?
I know what I would rather do.

I should also say Stuart, that although I disagree with most of your posts, I do still value your contribution to the forum.
If, however, you continue to be abusive towards the entire St.Mirren support, on a St.Mirren supporters forum, then I will have no option but to remove your account.
By all means disagree with everyone, that is the point of having a forum, but repeatedly labelling the entire support "stupid" is becoming tiresome and offensive.

They wouldn't get the chance. Can you imagine how long we would be able to hold onto those names in this modern era? Just look at Dundee United over the last few seasons. Mackay-Steven, Cifci, Armstrong all snapped up by Celtic. Robertson and Gauld gone.... United relegated.
The chances of us, or anyone bar two certain clubs, being able to assemble (and keep), a team capable of winning our top flight are precisely zero. Zilch. Normal service has already been resumed. Celtic are in a league of their own and look who is in second spot. Aberdeen and Hearts know their place, and that place is at best third spot.
Scottish football is finished for me. I used to take an interest in happenings outwith our midden. Frankly, I no longer give a flying fcuk. Sportscene has been erased from my Sky planner, I never watch any live Scottish games, I don't even check the scores - unless like Saturday I was sitting in the car after our game and turn the radio on to let the car park clear a bit.

Look at the guys in black shorts..Lex Richardson, John Young, Dougie Somner, Tony Fitzpatrick, Alan Logan, Ian Scanlon, Billy Stark, Billy Thomson, Campbell Money, Mark Fulton, Billy Abercromby, Frank MacDougall, Alex Beckett, Jack Copland, Jimmy Bone and John McCormack. Add in red shirts such as Gardner Spiers, Stuart Munro, Frank MacAvennie, Bobby Reid and Andy Dunlop...that squad would win the current Premiership with ease.
