Why do National Socialists always argue that you should increase wasteful spending inline with inflation.

I am not a National Socialist remarks like that are not funny and would make you a pariah with the people you claim to support, indeed anywhere other than this remarkably tolerant website. It's generally regarded as a sign that you have no argument.

Spending money on services that are needed in a time of recession is not wasteful and is part of a line of economic thinking stretching back to the 1930's, at least, and economists like Keynes.

I would increase spending by more than inflation as I think the needs require it, I was merely pointing out the flaw/mischief in nosferatu's interpretation of the figures.

You're wasting your time BTB.

You'd be better off explaining it to a five year old, as they'd at least listen to you, then admit they don't understand basic economics.

You'd also not have to suffer paragraphs of utter drivel posted in response, after the inevitable desperate rush to wikipedia.

Having reflected on Thursday's events, the performance by the SNP is simply stunning.

It would be interesting to see if any other political party involved in a democratic general election, has achieved a 95% success rate, in modern day politics.

All this, despite typical fear mongering and deceitful actions by both the opposition parties and their leaders, plus their lackeys in the media. The article below highlights just one of the many utterly pathetic and desperate , but ultimately unsuccessful, attempts, to spread untruths, in order to de-rail the most forward thinking anti-austerity party in the UK.

http://www.thenational.scot/news/police-scotland-deny-unionist-reports-they-warned-of-snp-aggression-at-polls.2731

I honestly think that , now, that actually helped . I think the public are sick of hearing that shit and now it has the opposite effect . I think Cameron and Co coming up here just prior to the referendum has also helped . .

Sometimes their arrogance knows no bounds and ultimately , that will be their undoing

Nobody has said that. Everyone, including myself, has just been debunking the claims that Government spending has increased. The claims made by all your aliases.

^^^^^ I think we can safely ignore the economic analysis of someone who doesn't know how government debt is funded.

The media? You mean the Cybernats are still at it. The echos of 1930s Germany are chilling

FFS give it a rest, you and your alter ego ( the fictitious German vampire ) show a worrying obsession for all things Nazi, and despite being informed on numerous occasions, refuse to acknowledge that you have lost any reasonable argument by doing so.

Looking forward to the 2020 GE, if the proposed boundary changes come into effect then the Tory majority would be 16 seats greater if the voting patterns from last Thursday were repeated according to this article.

You can deny it all you like but the way some Nationalists are behaving has ALL of the hallmarks of Nazi Germany in the 1930's whether it's in organising boycotts of businesses who refused to support independence, whether it's in this kind of attempted cyber bullying of people like JK Rowling, or whether it is in its behaviour on the street in attempting to forcibly silence any political opposition to the SNP.

Nicola Sturgeon was asked by Andrew Marr if she could control her party membership, she claimed she could but the evidence proves otherwise.

BTW it's also notable that the one seat that Labour did hold last week was being contested by SNP Candidate Neil Hay who was outed as the Cybernat Paco McSheepie - who slated the elderly on his Twitter account. Perhaps had the SNP sacked him as I suggested they should have done Labour really would have been wiped out in Scotland.

For once you may possibly be right. On the other hand, I suspect that many of the Labour votes in Edindburgh South came from Hearts supporters grateful for Ian Murray's help in saving Hearts from oblivion.

Was it not after the closing date for nominations that you suggested that?

I see that the Tories have appointed an Equalities Minister that voted against same sex marriages. You bigots will like that no doubt?

In fairness if all marriage was put to the vote, I'd vote against it. Why make anyone suffer?

I quite liked these comments from http://www.telegraph.co.uk/news/politics/SNP/11597756/SNP-planning-to-kill-off-Snoopers-Charter.html

"It is understood Alex Salmond, the former SNP leader, will be deployed in a “floating midfielder” role which will allow him to be across various policy briefs.

Giving Mr Salmond, who has more than two decades of Westminster experience, a ‘free role’ will allow his to launch “effective” political attacks where he spots weakness."

Salmond is more Jan Molby than Graeme Souness unless he gets on the Dicko Diet.

Mhairi Black ?

Hmmm, maybe Joey Barton-esque me thinks, only not as cultured.

It appears Alex has been given the task of dealing with the two sets of Tories down South.

In the interests of balance it should be noted that salmond has given up over 400k in salary to charity

Really?

The news story from the 17th of November says that Alex Salmond pledged to have his First Ministers pension of £42,501 paid into a trust fund each year for as long as he continues to be an MSP. He said nothing about donating any of the £59,089 per annum that he receives as an MSP despite not attending Hollyrood any more, nor makes any mention of him donating any part of the £74,000 per annum salary he will get as an MP at Westminster.

The story went on to explain that Salmond did something similar whilst Salmond collected his MP and MSP's salaries between 2007 and 2010 and that this had raised £92,000 over that period which was paid to the Mary Salmond Trust.

Of course this is the same Alex Salmond who claimed £116,000 in expenses for just SIX visits to Westminster in 2008.

I thought the promise was that the vote would be held within 18 months of the election? That would make it by November next year, up to 6 months after the Scottish Parliament elections. And 12 months before the consequential Yes/No independence referendum......

:)
