shull
It is now time for Mr Gilmour to act. Go and make Wee Baldy an offer he cannot refuse He must be given the St Mirren Manager's job so he can sort this mess out and keep us in the top league. Andy Millen to assist him, if possible. Do it. saint in exile
I couldn't stand McPherson, but he'd be a better bet to keep us up than the present, or previous, management team.

windae cleaner
What's Teale meant to do We were looking like a team on the up The BOD then sold our best player, main goal threat and in his best form since he broke into our first team He still had 18 months left and we didn't get outstanding money for him either We weakened our team while our rivals strengthened We all know as well the rest of league we need new blood in defence. But Teale is no different from other managers regarding this Wee Gus stormed out of Greenhill Road with Good Luck,i won't be back
donport
Why would Gus leave and come back to us.....he has a better squad where he is!

buddies1877
I've always been a gus and Andy fan. People go on about how youngsters never got a chance under him yet who that he let go when on to prove him wrong? Craig Slater Paul mcginn are only two that I can think of who were not given a chance went on to prove they are good enough under more recent management
dakota7
We need an experienced manager in. Again the board have fecked this up. Teale doesn't know how to pick a team it's blatantly obvious. He signed Arquin who is never a striker and possibly one of the worst to wear the stripes. He signs attack minded players and doesn't play them and hasn't addressed our shocking defence. Sorry Gary but you are out of your depth. Stu
And it was Danny Lennon & David Longwell who let these guys go! They both chose to leave. McGinn was definitely offered a contract. They released Marc McAusland. Proving that they did actually know a thing or two about football. Sorry to burst your bubble but I think McAusland may have chosen to leave as well
Stuart Dickson
On the subject of giving youth a chance though I counted 6 Queens Park players who were 21 or under playing tonight for them and two more aged 23.

It's always been like that at Queens Park, Tony Quinn and David Anderson used to raise the average age a wee bit.

rjh
Seriously? Y do fans always bring gus back up? He is in the past and so he should stay in the past yes he was successful for us when we were in 1st division but he was shockin in the spl for us and is not the answer to our problems also what has he done since leaving us? Nothing special yes we won so many relegation battles with him incharge but that wasnt always down to him it was also teams being worse than us. Really annoys me with this bring gus back. Imo danny was hands down a better manager than gus.

Imo danny was hands down a better manager than gus. I'd imagine to illustrate just how far we've fallen. No-one was really a lover of Gus and his tactics but it was a damn sight better than anything that we've produced this season or for huge spells of last season. Oh how I long for a player in the mould of Alan Reid or Garry Brady. Solid and unspectacular players who, although offering little of substance, would produce enough to keep us just out of the shit and no more. Big Yards
This is exactly why the board want. All the blame shifted from them to the manager. Teale had no chance in this job to begin with. Some of you need to grow a brain and realise it wouldn't matter who was in charge, we have a shockingly bad squad which has just been made even weaker and the board are no longer interested. We're being set up to be a first division club. Nothing to do with Teale or Longwell
Big Yards
And if we appoint Gus again I'm definitely finished with the club!
