aldo_j
The Record says we are interested in him, plays with Queen of the South. Anyone know anything about him?
Drew
Not heard anything about him, but QotS done well last year, and, again, the player will know this league well.
Frank McGarvey' wonky legs
Have Queens not had all their decent players taken already?
TopCat
29 year old defensive midfielder. We are more a draw than QOTS, so it wouldn't surprise me if we picked up some of their players.
scottd
Thistle will be interested so let that be an end to it!

Stu
Have Queens not had all their decent players taken already? Pretty much. Holt, Durnan, Reilly and Carmichael are all away. The rest of the high profile good ones like Lyle are already under contract. Dunno much about McKenna. Think he's a holding midfielder so I await people jumping to the immediate conclusion that interest in him means Goodwin is out the door. billyg
I was reading the QOS thread on P&B , they are gutted to be losing him. Some guy said that Gus's best piece of business at QOS was getting McKenna to sign a new deal !
scottd
Sort of player we should be looking at. Guys who know the division and what it takes to achieve a play off place in it.

FFS, many teams play with 2 defensive midfielders in every game! I've always been of the opinion that a couple of brutal thugs in midfield goes a long way. I always like to hark back to the 80s but the best by a long way was Aberdeen with Neale Cooper & Neil Simpson in the centre of midfield. They dominated games and let guys like Strachan, Stark & Weir do their business.
Stu
Guy at work who covers Queens every week says McKenna is basically Goodwin without the red cards. Will break up play and pass but not very creative. Fine with me, lets Mallan and the likes of Agnew and Carey (if they sign) get on with that side of things. Only downside is he's apparently injury prone.
ulysses
Teams will always need at least two players who can play defensive midfield. Particularly when one of those players is Jim Goodwin. Edited June 13, 2015 by ulysses
