zurich_allan
Haven't been brilliant, but organised and dominated possession. Should win this game if the pattern continues the way of the first half. That said, we'll probably concede on the one break away Dumbarton get... BuddieinEK
HT 0-0Poor half to be honest. We have improved from the disorganised rabble we were on Tuesday, but we don't deserve to be ahead. We aren't playing well or anything and haven't really had any clear cut chances. The game could go either way. Dumbarton are clearly a side low on confidence aswell but they've had a few half opportunities along with ourselves. That's now 7 full halves of football under Jack Ross without even a goal, absolutely brutal stuff.Clarkson has been his usual poor self, he just can't link attack and midfield at all. Mallan and Magennis have been pretty industrious in the middle without creating much but Morgan and McAllister need to get in the game more. Back four haven't really been troubled much but still manage to look shaky as usual. We've had a couple of long balls to Johnny, and that's when we've looked our most dangerous. More of that please. Sure you are at the same game?Clarkson is not playing off Sutton... He is part of a midfield five which is designed to let both wingers get up the part.Clarkson has also been quite effectual in that role with some nice link play. A damned sight more effective than Hutton.Played really well for 25 minutes and dominated the game but Sons packed the defence and fristration set in for a bit.Finished the half strongly and more of the same in the second half will see us win comfortably. st jock
Seven full halves without a goal is a damning statistic. If it were true. Saints to win 2.
TopCat
What we need to realise here is this is the second worst team in the league (we are the worst) at home. We won't get an easier game on paper all season. If we can't even win this then...?
TopCat
Seven full halves without a goal is a damning statistic. If it were true. Saints to win 2.0 My bad, forgot about Gordon's meaningless consolation on Tuesday.7 full halves without a meaningful goal then.
TopCat
Best chance of the game so far... for dumbarton.Great cross, close range header, has to score... very good save from Langfield.
John Gotti
Best chance of the game falls to Dumbarton but a Gordon Banks-esque save from Langfield keeps us level. Saints need to show a bit more composure in front of goal though, we look short of confidence.
TopCat
Great ball from Morgan there finds Naismith back post. Our best chance of the game, but he can't hit the target and heads it into side netting.A few minutes earlier Jamie produced another decent save from a Dumbarton strike from 18 yards. Games on a knife edge.

zurich_allan
A draw isn't good enough. We need to win this. Not looking good, and after dominating possession for so long too!

John Gotti
Sums up Langfield, from wonder save to wondering WTF he was thinking. We are one of the most self destructive teams ever. We can expect the Dumbarton keeper to waste even more time now.

TopCat
Is it personal?Clarkson was applauded off by most fans who appreciated his efforts. Played ok. No, I've never met him. I thought the applause was ironic, it certainly surprised no one that when we were 1-0 down at home that he was hooked off. A truly dreadful player who offers absolutely nothing to the cause. TopCat
Hardie on McAllister off. Dumbarton almost made it two there, hit the stansion behind the goal from the edge.We don't look like scoring at all.
