Great looking ground with a running track round it, which will come in handy if the commonwealth games come to Saughton Quote

notabuddie Posted November 18, 2017 Report Posted November 18, 2017 Oh dear oh dear second half worse than Ray's team.Raes team had 60 minutes to score 1 goal against Edinburgh City This team had 45 minutes to keep a clean sheet and score but nothing they chucked so much for being professional. Some people are just never happy. SEVEN goals away from home, Davis back and played the full 90 minutes, no injuries or booking which could lead to suspentions, comfortably through to the next round of the cup. And yet still complaining. Quote

In football the primary objective is to score more goals than the opposition. That is not the same as outscoring them by the maximum possible margin. Now if you are one, two, three or so goals ahead you are entitled to go for more because they could score and get back into it. Or in a league game there would be nothing wrong with going for the biggest possible winning margin because at the end of the season goal difference could be an issue. But in a cup game, up by seven at half time, show some respect, there is no need to humiliate anyone. Secure the victory, get out of there and into the next round. That is the objective and there is no ill feeling on anyone's part. Quote

Yeah next time we play shite and get beat we can see how many posts are on here moaning certain players did not try or give 100% does not matter the result the least we should expect is a team giving 100%. Another gripe from the second half if we had not chucked it they would not have scored and we could have had a clean sheet. That could give confidence to our weakest part of the team Quote
