youngbud1877 reacted to awp in Saints Merchandise - Help Required
Hi Herbie,
It's not a regular stock item but we can certainly get something done for you. PM me the size you are looking for and I'll see what we can do. Price will depend on the size you want and the material that we print on.

youngbud1877 reacted to TediousTom in Cheesy In Crutches
If Marc McAusland is going to be out injured then our team are in real trouble (if we were not already).
As much as the less intelligent of our forum user's like to abuse young Marc at every opportunity the fact is that he has been our best and most consistent centre half for quite sometime.
Will we see a Darren McGregor and Lee Mair combination?
Will Dan the under pressure manager man stick with James Goodwin at the back?
Will Dan the under pressure manager man stubbornly insist on leaving Lee Mair out of the team?
Anyway, I hope young Marc is okay.

With some lovely football to boot.
Pity no one at the club in pre season could be arsed to do their job.

About time for some positivity. It looks like the young keeper is our new number 1 after being picked yesterday and delivering a good performance.
He is one of the few positives for me this season. He looks like he's going to be a great keeper, he's big, commanding and a good shot stopper. He's only 19 though so hopefully the fans will be patient with him initially, if he settles in and adapts and develops like he should he could be our number 1 for years to come.
Dilo! Dilo! Dilo! Congratulations Christophe

Our best player. Why the hell is he not getting a start?

youngbud1877 reacted to ulysses in Marc Mcausland
Cheesy isn't the problem, it's the partner he has at centre half, who isn't actually a centre half.
Beggars belief how McGregor didn't start yesterday, as I thought he was by far our best player v. Motherwell.
Cheesy and McGregor at the back next Monday please.

Was going to close this down as it's repetitive but it looks like the thread will not turn out as the OP intended.
Let's show our support for Marc, he's been one of our better players and always gives nothing short if 100%. He's on the team sheet on merit and as long as his old man is on the board he'll be an easy target for some.
If I were him I'd be looking for a move as it's not always a fairytale playing for your home town team even if it was your boyhood dream.

Danny is a Legend and must be given the opportunity to turn things round.
Him, Tommy & the Players can do it with our full support.

Sorry guys but if you think Danny brought Gary Harkins to the club to sit on the bench you need your head looked at !

youngbud1877 reacted to Julian Banjos in Ok I Will Start It Sack Danny
Lennon gave us our highest league position in a quarter of a century then then followed it up with the first cup since 87.
Always talking up the club and fans, goes round primary schools drumming up support.
So we lose a game to a team who finished 4th last season and, by all accounts, we were doing okay against them until a dodgy pen and mad 10 minutes afterwards.
A bit of perspective required?
Danny has proved that he can bring us success in the league and cup. It's laughable he's being put under pressure one game into a season.
I think he's partly suffering because he's not "St Mirren". No question that Billy Stark or Steve Clarke, with the same record, would be getting an easier ride.

youngbud1877 reacted to Murray7 in Mcausland To Hibs?
You obviously haven't been to a game since 2011.
McAusland has developed into a consistently solid SPL defender, which is all we can ask for.

youngbud1877 reacted to Murray7 in Danny Says No More Signings
Season one: Bedding in season, learned the ropes of SPL management, made mistakes and learned from them. Still stayed up.
Season two: Got rid of 10 plus dreadful players, also got rid of lurkers like Potter and Dargo, brought in Thompson, Teale and the like. Finished 8th, our highest league placing in 20 odd years.
Season three: We won a cup and stayed up. One of the best years in our clubs' history.
Cut the guy a bit of slack, he's doing his best for the club, he'll keep us up and I think we can match, or even better 8th this season if we add another couple of decent players.

youngbud1877 reacted to Magic Monkey in Cornell, Dilo & Dillon Sign - Confirmed
I like this line:
"St Mirren are leading the race for the Wales Under 21 international with Buddies boss Danny Lennon keen to bolster his goalkeeping options."
Yes. 'Bolster our options'. From 'no goalkeepers', to 'a goalkeeper'.

youngbud1877 reacted to faraway saint in Wimbledon 2013
Quite a performance right enough.
From what I've seen Murray is the only guy who has a hope against him.
Roll on next week, fingers crossed Murray continues his good form and we could ve celebrating a Scottish Wimbledon champion.
Had a bit of a heated discussion with my uncle last night on the phone.
He's one of these "never rated Murray" types who, no matter what Murray achieves, never sees it as enough to be recognised as a very good tennis player. he actually indicated the seeding's had been rigged to give Murray an easier draw?
Even Murray's US Open win was dismissed as "He's only won one from five finals" so he's not got a good record in finals. Fair point but to ignore the fact he's reached five finals and he's a Scottish, yes, Scottish tennis player is quite a significant record.
Murray has also won 27 career tournaments, winning 76% of all games he's played. This is in an era when you have possibly 2 of the best tennis players ever in these slams, with Djokovic heading to be considered in that company as well.
Oh aye, he also won the Olympic gold.
If Murray retired tomorrow he should be remembered as one of the best Scottish sportsmen ever.
Andy Murray, you are some boy.

youngbud1877 reacted to RossTheBoss in Carey And Parkin First To Go.........
We can't afford to carry Carey in the team for little return. This season his set pieces have led to one good save from Forster, and that's about it. Last season was slightly better I think, but still poor overall.
Most of our goals from set pieces come from Gary Teale. We'll not miss Carey.
As for Parkin, I actually quite liked him and thought he was a good option to bring off the bench, though he's paid to score goals and he didn't deliver.
All the best guys. You leave as cup winners and heroes.
-
youngbud1877 reacted to Lex in Carey And Parkin First To Go.........
Far more likely. There's no way they'd pay money for Kenny given his current form.
As for Parkin and Carey, no surprise and both correct decisions for me. Neither of them has nailed down a first team spot despite numerous chances. Time to clear out the dead wood.

Good interview. I think I'd rather have SG stay on to be honest.
Div..... Maybe you'd wanna pop the Radio interview from Sportsound tonight on here aswell. You can listen to it on BBC podcasts- Scottish football. its 34mins long and pretty informative. I wouldn't have a clue how to put a link to it on here though.
