Poor R*ngers Theads Merged.....

I think he is still restricted to owning less than 10% of the shares of the club which means he can't become the majority shareholder and owner. At the moment King and also the 3 Bears have more shares than him.

That may be but they don't have a stranglehold on it. More fun to be had methinks!

Back to the dead club, does the one off fine clear the way for Ashley to Buy the club?

He has no need or wish to buy it, it seems.

He just needs it to meander aimlessly on, selling shirts etc to loyal eedjits.

He already has surety over Murray Park and registered trademarks. He will continue to profit whatever happens at the EGM.

Or he could pull the plug on his loans.

We all wait to see what King and Co will offer in terms of a plan and the £ to back it. He initially spoke of £32m, came to Scotland and it adjusted to £16m, then it turns out that was £8m from him and £8m from the fans. What will it be on Saturday?

It is this not-knowing that baffles me. How can the The Rangers Loyal put faith in a man who was complicit in the tenures of both Murray and Whyte, and who has not revealed what plans he has for the future nor how he will fund this amazing loss-making enterprise. (Not even going into all the South African naughtiness)

That small fine was for Ashley. The club faces the SFA with regard to the same business on March 16. Maybe Mr King's wealth off-the-radar can easily cover any fines from his place atop the marble staircase. He'll need it.

Llambias and Leach not moving. The board will have prior knowledge of the proxy outcomes, so them not jumping ship suggests.

The vote for Easdale and Sommers would have been out

The vote for Leach and Llambias is in.

The vote for King is out

The vote for Murrey and Gilligan Who cares they are make weights.

Or King is in Murrey and Gillgan out in which case Leach and Llambias can vote king of the board.

Supposition but there you have it.

Could not agree with this more! King would be a disaster for the new club in so many ways. Sadly does not look like happening. Instead its just a soft porn arse job from Ashley

restricted by who the SFA does not run the stock market and their de facto intervention in the ownership of a PLC could result in them getting sued for a lot more than Ashley's fine.

Is it just me or is this 7500 fine a bit odd? A one of penalty for a continual breach of the rules. Just as he's been fined pocket change doesn't mean his dual interest has changed? Surely this should be a rolling punishment until his dual ownership stops?

Remember SMFC were fined £30K for not having enough under 20s on the bench in a cup tie? £7500 for undue influence to Ashley. Priorities eh?

I doubt it, the SFA can't stop anyone buying shares in anything

What they can do is restrict access to membership and competitions to clubs that don't conform to SFA standards. Since a club of some sorts called rangers was a member when these terms were set then I don't see how they can launch an action.

It would not be rangers launching the action
