Callum Gilhooley
Well organised and a fun night. Shame that a good few of the advertised players didn't turn up. Shameful that not one director saw fit to even pop in for an hour. Not one. What a GIRUY to the fans! Does that surprise you ?
bigjerseybuddie
Would have loved to have been there, sounds like a great night. As for the Directors, it's probably wise that none of them showed up given the level of bad feeling towards them at present. It might just have deflected the attention away from the celebrations of the evening and caused a bad atmosphere. The Anglo Scottish cup win brings back great memories, going on the cottage arms bus, getting drenched at Ashton gate, the police dogs which were unnecessary, oh and the 2-0 win and the celebrations at love street in the return leg. Happy days indeed
fmckinn
Remember going down on the Tudor bus to Bristol we were told at the end of the game our bus had broken down and we were taken into the supporters club. Can't remember though if it was City or Rovers

Can't remember though if it was City or Rovers I was on that bus also . Think it was the City supporters club. We got home to Paisley about 8 in the morning & i was still drunk ! Bristolian Cider is potent stuff !
alanmurray24
Thanks to all that turned up and made last night such a success. Just to clear up an issue, Chris Stewart did turn up at last night's meeting. Jackie Copland did confirm that he was coming, Ricky McFarlane was a late call off. Campbell Money really wanted to come but had forgotten that his daughters engagement party was same night. Footnote the Fans Council are already planning some more events soon, hopefully some more news later on in year. Once again many thanks to all that made last night so special
windae cleaner
Who is Chris Stewart?
buddiecat
Who is Chris Stewart? He came to Saints along with Richard Atkinson and became a director/company secretary, also a director/company secretary of Douglas street ltd. I guess his talents were noticed by the board and he was kept on after Richard left. Edited April 19, 2015 by buddiecat

Seaside Nipper
Congratulations to the organisers, excellent evening we really enjoyed ourselves. It was great the way everyone mixed and chatted about (mostly) all things St Mirren. Only down side for me I was hoping Jackie Copeland would have turned up, I guess there are still issues there. Anyway a big well done to all concerned. JackieCopland ? Issues ? Pray tell , I've missed summit ?

Happy days indeed Agree with this BJB, Travelled down for the first leg in Bristol also, Tudor Arms bus, we travelled thru the night and arrived in Bristol during the morning rush hour, a few funny looks from the locals as we were all singing and giving it laldy. Whereabouts in Jersey are you mate? St Oueny boy myself, been here over 25 years now.
alanmurray24
Can't even sell 200 tickets for this event. will sell eventually, (maybe) but casino night!!!??? dear oh dear .. Amateur hour at it best!!! Couldn't run a piss up in a brewery comes to mind!!!And the Casino night went down a storm with fans and players alike , loads of comments about it, few people were asking me if Top Hat would do their birthday parties. So maybe a casino is a good idea.
alanmurray24
Please look out for more events coming up. Hope to announce one for kids very soon. Just trying to confirm stuff up at the moment with various people. Another one involving Iain Munro?
billyg
JackieCopland ? Issues ? Pray tell , I've missed summit ? It's been mentioned several times on here , and Jackie isn't shy when coming forward about it. He told me , and others , that he would never set foot in the new ground until a certain person was no longer involved !
alanmurray24
As I said Jackie was contacted by the Fans Council and because it was for the fans he said he would come..... He did not attend but sent a Txt on Sunday apologising saying that he was ill. I can only take what Jackie has said in communication at face value. I will leave it at that

nosferatu
Im intrigued. As far as I'm aware, Jack was made redundant when they decided to outsource the sports complex under the Caledonian Stand. I don't think he was happy about it. I'm sure someone else can confirm or elaborate or deny...

Russian Saint
I read in the PDE that there was a preview of the home jersey for next season. Can anyone that was present see it? Hopefully it'll be better than the current one.

alanmurray24
That is not correct. One of the prizes is that the 1st Home strip for next season was up for auction, but I can assure you that no strip was shown
