pod
Talked about year after year, both winter shutdowns and bigger leagues. Nothing ever comes of it.
madball
Not entirely happy with the status quo, but would take that over full summer football. My preference would be to have top flight of 18 teams (reduces game count by 4) and an enforced winter shutdown of 4 weeks.

saint in exile
Are u on the wind up?? Nope. I honestly hadn't seen the thread. Apologies to all and SGG. However, does the response to that equate to those numbers?

Stuart Dickson
The BBC article is a load of shite. Gilmour isn't quoted as saying it, but how can 45% ever be a majority. Oh and it's laughable that Gilmour claims that some of this figure is counted from by e-mails. Seriously? How many St Mirren fans consistently write e-mails to the club demanding summer football, especially these days when the club has a Facebook, Twitter and internet forum presence. oaksoft
45% is still a minority That depends on whether the majority is absolute or relative. You need the specifier to remove the vagueness. That's the little nugget of intelligence that both you and Stuart lack.
