Swiss_Saint Posted August 7, 2024 Report Posted August 7, 2024 single seats around is as close to a sell out as can be and some of those will go between now and the game Quote
linwood buddie Posted August 7, 2024 Report Posted August 7, 2024 Tickets for tomorrow are back on line , all in section N2. Quote
Opplett Posted August 8, 2024 Report Posted August 8, 2024 Fun fact: Paisley is just a bit more than half the way from Bergen compared to Tromsø which Kilmarnock is facing. Bergen > Paisley is about 760 km, while Bergen > Tromsø is 1200 km Quote
waldorf34 Posted August 8, 2024 Report Posted August 8, 2024 They are still selling tickets for main stand ! Quote

The Original 59er Posted August 8, 2024 Report Posted August 8, 2024 (edited) So onto predictions rather than a debate on whether we should or shouldn't fill in the corners (when we get to a point where every game in a season is 90% sold out then that is the time to carry out the feasibility study). Brann sit 2nd in their league and maybe they are suffering a bit of the Scottish problem of managing a European run and maintaining form at home, but there is no doubt this is step up and the team above them (Bodo / Glimt), are successfully competing at the same level as Rangers in the Champions League. This doesn;t make it impossible, but it will be a tough game. I would take a 1 goal lead as a good result, anything more a real bonus. Edited August 8, 2024 by The Original 59er Quote

Brann are odds on favourites for the match tonight , which says it all really. Rangers or Celtic aside it's a rare occurrence these days for opponents at the Smisa to be odds on with the bookies. Let's hope we can keep it alive for the 2nd leg ? Quote

Aye, 9/4 us with them being just under evens. I like to sniff out a winner with decent odds, I might be tempted but it's a bit of a punt as we are playing well but they are an unknown apart from the table below. Scoring 28 goals in 18 games is reasonable but they do let in quite a few. Edited August 8, 2024 by faraway saint Quote
Dare Posted August 8, 2024 Report Posted August 8, 2024 Remember Bodo/Glimt giving Celtic an absolute doing a couple of years back (5-1) on aggregate - Brann not as good as them but they are a decent side and are rightly the bookies favourites. Hopefully with the big crowd behind us we give them a game and keep ourselves in the tie for the second leg - like Robbo's attitude saying we fear no one at home so lets give it a right go COYS !! StanleySaint Posted August 8, 2024 Report Posted August 8, 2024 22 goals conceded in 18 league games does sound like they are susceptible to losing goals, let's hope we can cause a bit of mayhem in their back line. Quote
stlucifer Posted August 8, 2024 Report Posted August 8, 2024 I would have liked to be away first but, it is what it is. My guess is we'll need a two goal cushion and I can't see that happening. Stranger things and all that. This Robinson team seem to have a lot of self belief and I'm sure we'll all get behind the lads tonight. Quote
Saint@Johnstone Posted August 8, 2024 Report Posted August 8, 2024 At least the weather is our usual for Europe. Apart from last week, I’m sure every other home tie was played in heavy rain. I was at all of them. Fingers crossed for a good result later. I will be there. Quote
White Cart Saint Posted August 8, 2024 Report Posted August 8, 2024 Still a good few tickets available across the stadium. Seems strange to me that not once today have St Mirren advertised this in any way. There will be a good number of people who would go but assume it's sold out Quote
faraway saint Posted August 8, 2024 Report Posted August 8, 2024 Difficult opening 10 minutes, they look quite tidy on the ball without being overly dangerous. We're struggling to keep the ball. Quote
faraway saint Posted August 8, 2024 Report Posted August 8, 2024 Ayunga makes a hash of a great chance, poor touch and the opportunity was gone. Can't afford that too often when chances are looking to be rare. Quote
faraway saint Posted August 8, 2024 Report Posted August 8, 2024 All over the place in defence there, getting worrying. Strange they all have the same name.........................FOTMOB? Quote
weetoonsaint Posted August 8, 2024 Report Posted August 8, 2024 Goalie keeping us it this game . Quote
StanleySaint Posted August 8, 2024 Report Posted August 8, 2024 This is a good side well into their season, no surprise we're struggling to get to grips at the minute, not sure Smyth and Boyd-Munce are the best combination in the middle. Quote

Things need to change at half time, hard to see us holding out the way things are going. Hardly on the ball, giving away possession easily. Quote

The last lot we pumped were well into their season, more like they are a better team and, at this point, 37 mins, we're slack but we seem to do better in the 2nd half.........................here's hoping. I did say good side, like you say 2nd half and good use of subs and we'll see what happens. Quote
