You knew within 5 minutes usually in each game whether it was going to be a frustrating afternoon or not... if he skipped past the 1st challenge then there was hope, if he was tackled in the 1st 5 minutes you'd be as well making a substitute there and then.

    Common sense alert!
The club are maximising income, as they should be doing.
Our ground is our asset and we hire it out for cash. The SFA rent it for their u21's, it's been used for youth cup semis etc etc.
Now it's being hired by Celtic. It wasn't a big deal before and it isn't now. The money we make from this deal could and hopefully will increase our playing budget for this season.

Despite my mumping and moaning I like many other lemmings, sorry... supporters, have renewed. Blind optimism? Probably not, rather an opportunity to renew and bring our 3 season tickets together as 1 seat came up right beside our 2 in W2.

I don't have major issues with the price, yes I would like it cheaper but it's about fair.
My issue is with how the club spends the money. We hired a manager last season where everyone knew from the outset it was a extremely risky appointment, particularly over a 2 year contract without interviewing other candidates, and then are stuck paying him off. We give Jim Goodwin a coaching role, only to remove him from it during the season following disciplinary issues. We started the season with gaps all over the squad, particularly up front and at centre half. Players we signed were on the whole of poor quality, why does this not happen at St Johnstone and Inverness to the same regularity as with us? We've paid players out of their contract yet again this season.... I'm sure I could add more if I thought about it.
The board have been good custodians of the club in so much as they keep us trading and solvent, but each season we get the story about budget being cut and living within means and I get that... but we throw away tens of thousands in shocking decisions made about recruitment. The board need to address where the money is being spent and start showing some better judgement about that. I'm genuinely swithering about going PAYG this season as the club seem incapable of spending money sensibly when they have a lump sum.

I'd agree with this, however I suspect that the lad will have plenty of other options and depending on whether current management are remaining in place or not will influence his decision. I think that there is a player with bags of potential, and would think that if we'd play him more central that he would flourish and be like Andy Dorman.

^^^ ThisI won't be there either despite season ticket (relieved to be in London on business next week, but would have given it a swerve anyway).
I've held up my end of the bargain, I've paid my season ticket money for years, I've brought along my now ex to games, got a season ticket and clothing for my daughter. I never expected any particular achievement with regards to league position or cup wins, but always had hope when not confident, however post the league cup all that has happened is that I've been stripped of hope. My club will rebuild and return as it has always done, but alas this is not my club at this moment as it has failed to uphold it's end of the bargain and at least give me hope.

I'd disagree re cutting too deep. I think the budget cuts have been appropriate, but what I would question is whether we've had value for what we have spent and the answer for me is a firm no. We had an opportunity in the summer to rebuild completely starting with management and coaching and ended up with a complete shambles that we are still paying out. We needed players for several positions in the summer and signed a whole series of no mark strikers and didn't shore up the centre of defence.
The club needs to set out some form of strategic vision and recruit around that, both in terms of coaching staff and players, and no longer lurch from crisis to crisis. We aren't going to get that from the current residents in the boardroom and need a Chief Exec or Chairman to be active. Relegation might be the best thing to happen or it could lead to a spell outside the top flight as before, but whatever happens we need a clear direction.

Would only come into affect if Hibs or Falkik have wone through on the playoffs and in Scottish Cup, and then the affected clubs would be one of Hibs/Falkirk and one of Us/County/Thistle/Well. Unfortunately if Rangers reach the Play-off Final it's not an issue.

Can recommend Paul McLanachan (PM Gas & Heating Services). Fitted a new Worcester Boiler, which needed some re-plumbing, removed the hot water tank, and raised the flue to current height standard, all for £1730 (got some cashback from some Energy Efficiency scheme on top of that). 5 Year Warranty on the boiler. Has done some other work for me since (replacing Gas Hob, fitting new radiators) and been happy each time with price and service. will PM with details.
