I remember reading some time ago in this forum somewhere that the loans made by the directors were repaid in full after the new stadium was sorted out. I've a feeling it was Sid that said it and I don't think it was ever contradicted. Smaller short term loans were made in the past by directors too I believe to cover the summer months expenses until the SPL money came through at the start of the season. The cup money coming through will surely help the budget considerably. I don't see us being in debt again in the forseeable future. We will have a good season. Just watch.

It would seem that Swansea might have been impressed with us taking the Newcastle lads on loan for a season, and given the success that they had along with the way that they were looked after could well have swung things in our favour. I'm no expert, but I suspect there are already laws in place which could be used to combat racists and bigots. MacAskill's new law was just a knee jerk reaction to the existing laws not being put into force by the authorities. Unfortunately, the authorities turn a blind eye to the actions of those that the law was actually put into place to stop.
On another point, there are a couple of political adverts at NSMP so there is already a precedent at the club to allow political comment.

Plenty of reports stating it is looking like in the region of 750k for McLean and to a previous poster why wouldn't dl see much of it? We are debt free with a league cup semi final on the horizon which will surely cover most if not all of the difference without rangers
IMO dl will get a good amount of what is made on McLean to re invest in the squad be it wages or a small transfer fee for players people need to stop being so negative about our clubs financial position we are one of the best kept clubs in Scotland simple as that any extra money we make is intact that extra money

I was not totally convinced by the takeover bid and not convinced by 10000 Hours' ability to run the football club going forward without hitting some sort of financial difficulty. I'm not just going to back the bid because it's a fans' takeover and because it sounds like a great idea on paper. It has to be viable.
IIRC, 10000 Hours hit their target in respect of the number of fans they wanted signed up to this, but still couldn't finalise a deal. I think that says everything we need to know. It was up to 10000 Hours to convince more people to come on board if that was what was required, not the other way about. The fans are blameless in all of this, and in fact, given how many were willing to back the bid with a certain degree of blind faith, I think the fans come out of this pretty well.
