Did someone on some thread on this forum suggest that Muzek is currently available ?

If so let’s get him signed up now. Should have never have been allowed to leave in the first place.

Anyone tracking Popescu ?

From what I believe Muzek was offered a deal and turned it down in the summer.

Totally agree Waters is a championship player at best.

Dont even think hes a championship player. Up there with one of the worst players ive saw at st mirren and the stubbs signings imo

He and Ralston at the Fakes are vying for the worst LB in the Scottish Premiership - its a close race !

Emergency loan of a CB . . . :ninja

English Premiership reserve player that was on the list when JG arrived but he never pursued  :magic:turtle

Pure guess, but a LB must be on the radar too !

Didn’t think emergency loans existed...

They don't now, but someone who is a free agent could come in for a short period/contract to come our emergency situation...

But they’ve got to be someone who’s been a free agent since the close of the last window...I think? So a team can’t free a player today and then they go sign for another club, they need to wait until the next window.

Big gamble to bring in someone who’s not been training or playing with anyone since, at least, late August.

There are players out there who are training with clubs as a favour to get/keep themselves fit for a contract - Was that not what Ross Wallace was doing with us?

Is it not a gamble playing McGinn at CB, Waters and MacPherson as our FB's and Erhahon as our only experienced cover in defence? (After him its reserves like Nick McAllister) - Let's hope that big MacK is back quickly cause it looks like Kirky is out for a while...

Suppose that’s what Goody was to weigh up. Someone with no match fitness or knowledge of the team and has been a free agent, or play Paul McGinn...

Pretty sure he’ll go with McGinn.

I think that is a real possibility. That way he does not spend more for now, keeping it for the window, but the other factor is how long our 2 CB's are likely to be out...

Add in Foley's hamstring arghhhh… and the defence is less well protected.

With all that in mind, all roads surely lead to recalling Bairdy, with the benefit he's been playing competitive football (in a relegation battle, no less) instead of kicking his heels on our bench.

Given Morton are able to get emergency loans, and we can't, let them worry about replacing him. f**k it, we could send them one of our younger CHs if they really need it.

Don’t think you can recall out of the window periods. Hence, our only options are McGinn, a youth team player or finding someone who’s out of contract.

Fair dos, cheers for clarifying. I'd read elsewhere we could but it makes much more sense that we can't.

If we could we surely would - don't even think Morton can end the deal and send him back early - and  why would they anyway?

We can recall him at any point.

We can't register him though until the window reopens (as he's already played for another club in this window) so there's absolutely no point in doing so.

Also, any player we would bring in on a short term deal will have been out of football since late August at best, so again you're talking a guy who hasn't kicked a ball in nearly 4 months getting up to speed very quickly indeed.

It's time to throw Nick McAllister or Conor McBrearty in. That's our only realistic option.

We'll take our time to sign the quality we signed at the start of the season.

Apparently an overseas club wants to buy Vaclav in Jan. Can now see this happening unfortunately in order to strengthen the squad.

Take the money before he goes for nothing. We can always pick up a keeper. The cash can help bring in better players to get us up the table.
