JJ McG
Freed by DUFC.Anybuddie think he could do a job til end of season? He could do a job until the end of the season but we won't sign him. it's been weeks since we sacked that muppet TC yet we still have no permanent manager and no new signings, things really are shaping up nicely. bazil85
Yeah think he could do a job. Short term contract, if he would accept it.
Lord Pityme
Freed by DUFC.Anybuddie think he could do a job til end of season? Tattie Howker, Strawberry Picker, Turkey Inseminator.... Drew
Yes, would seem a decent shout.
TsuMirren
But, just to draw in discussions from elsewhere, he's not a centre back!
Drew
But, just to draw in discussions from elsewhere, he's not a centre back! That's true - left back?
class of 76-77
How many previous managers have failed to address the centre half issue we have. Obviously we need strikers as a prority but it seems all has gone quiet as regards to an incoming centre back.
Ally
Can play in a variety of positions including central midfield. If he ain't a crock he'd be a good signing and at 30 would still be playing with a point to prove.

You do sometimes wonder if there is a certain dynamic at play involving the relationship between a current member of the squad, his status at the club, and his relationship to a member of the BoD. Aherm....
Bloomsbury Bud
Good player, good experience. . However a 3rd left back joining an already unbalanced squad doesn't strike me as sensible. Centre Half and Centre Forward, please.
class of 76-77
Watford making enquiries about Mc Ginn. Edit to add sorry wrong thread :(damn smart phone. Edited January 13, 2015 by class of 76-
dakota7
I would let McGinn go if we can get decent money for him.
Frank McGarvey' wonky legs
Wilson predominately a right back. possibly a fall out with manager after his part in the Zaluska incident but stays close to Goodwin I think.
nedflanders123
Digressing somewhat. I read in BBC sports website that Sheffield Utd have bid £80,000 for Gary McKay Steven. That is surely a typo? Same club who wanted McGinn yet offering a reported paltry amount. If an error then someone e.g the editor, wants his/her arse kicked. Does his contract not run out at end of season, hence paltry amount.
nedflanders123
Does his contract not run out at end of season, hence paltry amount. This was supposed to be an improved bid ffs. Would rather he stayed in Scotland but shame such a talent can go for such a paltry amount.
Drew
United would be insane to accept anything like this for GMS. They are still in a Cup (both?), and have a decent shot at playing in Europe. Either or both are worth significantly more than the daft figures that Sheffield are offering for the player. djchapsticks
Does his contract not run out at end of season, hence paltry amount. It does. But I'd far rather keep a player of such talents for a few more months and let him leave for nothing than lose him so pitifully. Especially as Utd are master negotiators. rabuddies
He's walking away in May with the intention of going south. No chance of him re-signing and no compo due so Sheffield chancing their arm.

Saint Garf
Wilson's a good player, plays several positions, has plenty of experience. I'd take him in a heartbeat, he could play at full back allowing Tesselaar or Naismith to play centre half. He could even fill in at centre half himself if needed. He's exactly the kind of player we need just now. Doubt he'd have been on a fortune at United, so it could be a realistic one too.
