Would Any Of Us Have A Similar Meltdown ? Killie Fan Merge

Recommended Posts

When he mentioned the lack of commitment from the players it did remind me of our own team . .

I was reminded of when we had players like Copland , Munro , Fitzpatrick , Stark , Torrence , Abercromby , guys that didn't find themselves in the winning team every week but you knew they were committed Saint Mirren players , whereas now , with the exception of maybe 2 players , no one seems that bothered anymore. .

We have slid a long way since our glorious Cup win . .

Come back Danny , all is forgiven . .

Its funny that that Saints team from 1979 is shown above.

We failed to win our first 3 league games that season and had a bad start to the season. We even managed to get knocked out of the League Cup over 2 legs by Hamilton despite beating them 2-0 in the first leg at Douglas Park.

The Paisley Daily Express ran a special article asking fans what had gone wrong. One fan even said it was the worst Saints side he had ever seen.

At the end of the season we had finished 3rd, our highest ever league placing and qualified for Europe for the first time.

Indeed, we only missed out on the title by 6 points and still had it in our own hands in April with only 4 games to go.

Possibly the biggest turning point was the dropping of Andy Dunlop and the aforementioned John Dempster.

The replacements were Mark Fulton and Peter Weir.

He's having another rant in the Daily Record now.

After all this, he says Killie are not going to make the top 6 playing like that lol.gif

Correct mate, you are going to get relegated! About bloody time too.

Killie won't be relegated as their BOD will do something about their predicament, unlike ours who waited until it was too late.

I don't know, Locke on a 3 year deal, McCulloch just given a coaching job....going to be an expensive job to punt them all.

He played for Scotland U-21's v Norway and that's the strip he swapped for his Scotland jersey.

No real strip regulations those days.

He also had a cool yellow & black Wales Adidas jersey that he wore frequently when playing for us.

Guy was a maverick

They have been extremely fortunate over the piece- they avoided a play-off and relegation twice with last day results. Eventually you can't dodge that forever.

What an embarrassing video. Anyone getting into that state over football needs to get a f**king life tbh.

I think that Killie may be this poor guy's life though. He did mention something about a "son" at some point during the tirade, however................
