Essential that McAllister and Morgan get crosses into the box for Sutton.
Hendo
Good to see our own young players promoted ahead of the loanees.
TopCat
Certainly good to see Shankland dropped. I assume Clarkson will be starting deep midfield in the Hutton role, I hope so anyway. He can't do much worse than Kyle did... surely. Also good to see Magennis and McAllister starting.

ronaldo
Great seeing young lads getting a chance, especially when the older pros have been poor, but my god we are so lightweight in there, teams could bully us off the park without any danger of us getting stuck right back into them
shull
I think I will log off till Monday, unless we win.
Sonny
Good to see Hutton and the loanees all dropped. At least our own young guys should be playing for the jersey.
Julian Banjos
Very attacking team. Risky. Will be okay if we get on the front foot and have a lot of the ball. Midfield could be bullied though.
gc_SMFC
Is St. Mirren radio doing commentary today?
Eric Arthur Blair
St Mirren radio still playing music instead of commentary, anyone else hearing this?
TopCat
We have went with Clarkson off Sutton instead of Mallan sadly. That's quite the experienced midfield 4 we have. Mallan, Magennis, Morgan and McAllister. Think the oldest is 20? The future indeed.
ronaldo
saints tv has taken the money but isn't letting me watch, wants me to pay again, no sure its worth that much
TopCat
We just hit a boomer of a long ball to Sutton. YAS!He won the header of course, second ball out wide and crossed in and Sutts gets the heed on it again. Just wide. Better.

Yip, I suppose it is actually amatuer hour from the university. Still an absolute pain though, especially when there's nothing else to do on the boat. Edit to add, the music is more depressing than our performances over the last few years.... Edited November 5, 2016 by gc_SMFC

TopCat
Sutton wins another header and gets it on target. Bit edgy at the back as per, but it least looks like we won't be embarrassed today, and we might even score a goal.Progress!
farmer john
c'mon Saints...give us a win. Surely tae f**k. I'm away out to work for a while....we better be comfortably ahead when I come back!

TopCat
Must say, really like Dumbartons strip. AC Milan-Esque.Game settled a bit now, we are much improved from Tuesday but still not playing well. Two poor sides low on confidence. Still 0-0. TopCat
Clarkson should have been booked for diving there, forgot he was playing. Swan like. Not even the West Bank asked for a free kick.Brutal, still 0-0.
John Gotti
Watching on smtv, the game and the crowd seem very flat.
TopCat
HT 0-0Poor half to be honest. We have improved from the disorganised rabble we were on Tuesday, but we don't deserve to be ahead. We aren't playing well or anything and haven't really had any clear cut chances. The game could go either way. Dumbarton are clearly a side low on confidence aswell but they've had a few half opportunities along with ourselves. That's now 7 full halves of football under Jack Ross without even a goal, absolutely brutal stuff.Clarkson has been his usual poor self, he just can't link attack and midfield at all. Mallan and Magennis have been pretty industrious in the middle without creating much but Morgan and McAllister need to get in the game more. Back four haven't really been troubled much but still manage to look shaky as usual. We've had a couple of long balls to Johnny, and that's when we've looked our most dangerous. More of that please. Sounds like we should just go 4-4-2 and bypass the midfield all together. Force Dumbarton into making a mistake rather than us showing any quality. Doakes
Need someone to grab the game by the scruff of the neck. Unfortunately we don't have that player at the moment. Need a Simon Lappin or an Andy Dorman
