Big Yards
He's signed for st Johnstone. Would've been a great back up for thommo and could've given him a rest for a while. Not as if iwelumo would've been totally out of our budget if st Johnstone can afford him plus would probably have had a good chance of getting him since he did start out in paisley

Bud the Baker
No, like it or not Bahoken is our backup/partner for Thompson.
Lord Pityme
I thought given the thread title this was a retrospective piece about "That Miss" for Scotland by big Chris..?

Big Yards
Why is it when we sign a player everyone's so positive about them but when a player signs for another club they're a dud?
Kendo
Had Bahookie not come back we might have signed him.
billyg
He's a big dumpling , why release Parkin then sign a more useless , more expensive replacement !
Rabinho
There's no way he'd have signed knowing he'd be back up to Thommo. In any case I don't think he's very good so they're welcome to him.
Ayrshire Saints
He was imobile in his "pomp" and has a rotten goals record. He looks overweight and hasn't played much. Would have been a total waste of money imo.

WirralSaint
Would be a great title for his autobiography. Did see him score an absolute screamer in a Renfrewshire Cup Final at Cappielow. Don't think they opened anywhere except the main stand that night and I was hiding among 'them'. It was such a good goal they virtually all applauded. Big Yards
The guys had a very good career, played for clubs like wolves, stoke and played for Scotland. Not sure how you can say He was immobile in his pomp, he was a massive handful for defenses in England. He's done more in his career than most at mirren strikers will ever achieve
Frank McGarvey' wonky legs
There's no way he'd have signed knowing he'd be back up to Thommo. TsuMirren
Why is it when we sign a player everyone's so positive about them but when a player signs for another club they're a dud? Because he didn't do much with us (though no doubt that makes him a legend) and did very little since! Oh and because we're Saints fans, f**k everyone else! Lex
He's the same age as Thommo, would have been a great signing. Like has been said though, there's only room for two central strikers in our budget. Ours are Bahookie and Thommo, once Stephane came back there was no way we were going to sign another striker. Id like to think our fans have more of an appreciation of football and footballers in general even if they play for other teams

Oh and because we're Saints fans, f**k everyone else! He had to finish his paper round before his debut match IIRC... hardly fair to expect much from a player at that stage in his career. He's achieved more than most strikers we've had since he left, Thommo aside.
lovestreet
Would've been a great addition and affordable into the bargain. Missed opportunity indeed.
buddiecat
i'd label it a missed opportunity if he makes a success of his time in the spfl, until then it's a gamble, i dont think we could afford to gamble on another 35 year old being able to add points to our campaign
