TopCat Posted December 12, 2015 Report Posted December 12, 2015 According to Dumbarton match day reporter Ian Murray has resigned straight after the game. Quote
Stu Posted December 12, 2015 Report Posted December 12, 2015 Saints fan Douglas McNeil, who works for the BBC, has confirmed it! Quote
TopCat Posted December 12, 2015 Author Report Posted December 12, 2015 Good on him. If I was him I would have asked for a mutual consent. He's walked without a pay off. Credit where it's due. Quote
Balmullo Bud Posted December 12, 2015 Report Posted December 12, 2015 Thank you Ian Murray, for doing the right thing. Quote
foxbar_bud Posted December 12, 2015 Report Posted December 12, 2015 Now we need to move on, make the correct appointment and try and get out this mess Absolutely no cause for celebration Quote
dakota7 Posted December 12, 2015 Report Posted December 12, 2015 The board have to listen to the fans now and not just appoint Miller. Quote
Gordon Urquhart Posted December 12, 2015 Report Posted December 12, 2015 Board should resign too. Quote
Lanarkshire_Bud Posted December 12, 2015 Report Posted December 12, 2015 Why would he pull journos aside to tell them first? Quote
Drew Posted December 12, 2015 Report Posted December 12, 2015 (edited) I genuinely feel for the guy. He was subjected to a volley of vicious bile this afternoon as he trudged off the pitch looking like a broken man, and it wasn't nice to witness. The guy is young, has a family, and a living to make. He didn't set out to f**k this up, it just didn't work out. Thanks for doing your best, Ian. It wasn't good enough, but I wish you no ill, and hope you can move on from this. He'll have his £95k EBT tucked away for a rainy day. Quote
charlie Posted December 12, 2015 Report Posted December 12, 2015 Whether they like it or not, the board have a serious decision to make. Their last 3 (three) managerial appointments have been nothing short of abysmal. Buy cheap and you but twice. The next appointment is crucial. Cheap won't do. This is important. If we are relegated the board won't have an asset to sell. I hope he realises this. Surely he doesn't wan to be the man who saved his beloved saints only to destroy them. Quote
Drew Posted December 12, 2015 Report Posted December 12, 2015 He'll have his £95k EBT tucked away for a rainy day. Aye, there is that. Still, I won't celebrate him losing his job. Quote
Lanarkshire_Bud Posted December 12, 2015 Report Posted December 12, 2015 I won't celebrate anybody losing their job. But this is the correct decision to walk. Quote
monster munch Posted December 12, 2015 Report Posted December 12, 2015 It's not all rosey Ally McCoist has just been spotted in the Dumbarton reception. Quote
norrie82 Posted December 12, 2015 Report Posted December 12, 2015 I agree drew. It has been terrible to watch but I was sad watching him today. A young guy and hopefully he doesn't have to wait to long to get another job somewhere. Quote
Magic Monkey Posted December 12, 2015 Report Posted December 12, 2015 I feel bad for the guy. His appointment was greeted on here, almost universally, as the correct one. It was very difficult to see this going this way. Shit time of year to lose your job. I hope he gets another gig in football. Maybe at Morton? Quote
davidg Posted December 12, 2015 Report Posted December 12, 2015 http://www.saintmirren.net/pages/?p=50300 Confirmed now on fishel site. Quote
proudtobeabuddy Posted December 12, 2015 Report Posted December 12, 2015 Aye, there is that. Still, I won't celebrate him losing his job. Won't celebrate that, however we as supporters needed change.... we got it...i'll celebrate that. Quote
