HOW good does this winning at home feel. Had to win today and as I said pre match it was a by hook or by crook job. Never imagined all the other strugglers would win so even more vital. Beer hasn't tasted this good all season. Roll on Killie ( via Cheltenham).

TC, I try not to be fickle, but sometimes it happens. It's been a very tough season and at some points it has been difficult to keep the chin up. I can understand some peoples reactions. Some are far more OT than others, I agree. I myself have went a bit over the top at some points.

But results like the one today amass a bit of unity around here, and that can only be a good thing. We'll need it in the run in.

COYS.

P.S. I'm drunk now.

Spot on bud. I try to be upbeat but this season at times even I have felt bereft. I think this monkey off our backs will be a huge help and as I have said before to have played as poorly as we have and not to be adrift is a huge bonus. A mini league / season lies ahead and Celtic apart every game looks an opportunity.

Gow is the new Dow?

IMO Gow was much better than I imagined. He showed a bit of class we have missed this season, albeit he is short of match fitness. He didn't hide and was an excellent foil with Thompson, who also looked more like his old self. John McGinn was also much better today.

I have no issue with fickleness. I'm as fickle as they come. Nor with OTT reactions, as anyone who read me post as Lex will know, I specialise in those.

I just wish that those posters who are all over it like a tramp on chips when we lose (they know who they are) would be as equally active when we win.

They aren't though. They disappear.

Great result today. I thought Dayton, Goodwin, Genev & Mallan played well. Sadlier looked decent when he came on too - fantastic run in the build up to the goal.

What a shame Norwich didn't get rid of Adams sooner, as Accies would be right down there with us. They were dreadful.

Just back from the game, forget the first home win of the season thats my first win at St Mirren park in 10 visits, thought we deserved to win, they had no cutting edge, defence looked good both halfs even with the changes, looks like we have a good squad now, subs looked very good. MOM Dayton, COYS!!!

What a relief, bring on the run in.

By virtue of watching five minutes of highlights I am predicting us to avoid both automatic relegation and the playoff, and also that I will thoroughly enjoy this afternoons' beers

Jim Goodwin will rightly win our POTY this May.

What a player, what a legend. Bet those who wanted him out are feeling a bit daft now.

I like him at centre back, I think that's his best position. Would give him a contract extension tomorrow.

i love Jim goodwin to bits (as a saints player)

forget all the tv miss informed (they know better pish)

Jim is a saints legend...lifted the league cup for US....and a gentleman

like shuggie murray and aber....glad he's playing for us and not against us

p.s. (f**k you,it was a slight spelling mistake)
