windae cleaner
Last three games between Saints and Partick Thistle at St.Mirren Park; Sat 31st August 2013; Saints 1 Partick 2, Crowd 5601, Visiting Support 1613 Sat 25th Jan 2014; Saints 0 Partick 0, Crowd 4660, Visiting Support 1312 Sat 8th Nov 2014; Saints 0 Partick 1, Crowd 3636, Visiting Support 1335 Thistle have already sold over 1700 tickets for tonight, which is their highest visiting support ever to the new stadium, so it looks like they are quite up for a Friday night game with discounted tickets even though you could argue they are more inconvenienced that the majority of our fans will be. My main gripe is who is the Home team in this tie Thistle told their fans first about this would be a Fri night game well ahead of us in fact Dave broke the news on here. Any news regarding this fixture about ticket prices, discounts etc Thistle fans know about it first again Seems to me Thistle were the main driving force about this changed fixture and it's looking their fans will outnumber us So much for home advantage(well you what i mean) Due to the 7.30 pm kick off i'm struggling to make this hence i haven't bought a ticket yet but the normal 7.45pm i would have

Mykey
it's a great game for saints fans who work in retail, hospitality, hairdressing, etc. who have to work saturday afternoons. personally i would prefer the normal 3pm saturday but it wouldn't stop me going. davidg
Scotland U/21's If it's 100% a club decision with no police input then it's a nonsense. 1 cash gate per stand would be great.

It's not bad at the moment, some light snow but not heavy enough to cause any problems.
Mr Zo
I don't think there is any chance the game will be in doubt but it is currently very wet, very cold and very miserable out there. There were a few Thistle fans on the train tonight heading into Paisley for a wee pre match ale or two which should make for a decent atmosphere in and around the town. This is assuming Wullie Collum isn't in charge making his usual ludicrous decisions then it could all kick off in designated mixed seats area. Safe journey to everyone travelling to the game wherever you are travelling from. :-) Edited January 8, 2016 by Mr Zo
BuddieinEK
They've tried something a bit different and got some positive results. Thistle tickets especially have been selling like hot cakes. If Tesco had an offer on for half price jaffa cakes - you've missed that offer, and have to pay full price, who's fault is it? Not everyone has money, that's a given, but you can't blame a company for pricing a product how they see fit. If you book a holiday early, it's usually cheaper - unless you get a last minute deal. If you're buying something and don't get the best deal due to your own timing of purchase, it's no ones fault but your own. That is exactly the heartless insensitive tosh that is leading to dwindling crowds. Basically you are saying... The club is trying something which in hindsight seems popular with opposing fans, but for any of our own supporters who may have been inconvenienced in any way... What's the big deal? Fcuk 'em... Whingers! I paraphrase, of course!

HSS
My complaint is that Fri night is for the taxi, not football. It's the 2nd busiest night of the week and it will cost me £*# in lost earnings to go....altho I am going. If this experiment is with a view to moving to regular Fri night football then I'll be giving the football up.

If this experiment is with a view to moving to regular Fri night football then I'll be giving the football up. You're never going to get a day that suits everyone, but I bet Saturday at 3pm suits more people than Friday evening. Shite decision to move this for no discernible reason. It is what it is I suppose, can only hope it's a one off. Starting to snow pretty heavy too... If it goes the 90 can't see past a comfortable win for Thistle of course. I would be lying if I said I'd seen them play this season, but if they're 9th in the top flight I guess they will be far better than us. Will go for 0-3, and then full focus on the league.
