TopCat
Alex Rae finished 6th, got 9 points in the league cup and then got (rightly) fired 6 league games into the next season.Jack Ross finished 7th, the most he can get is 6 points in the league cup.You set the precedent Gordon.Tick.Tock. Stu
It's quite clear Lex once had a parking space stolen by Jack Ross and has missed out on a number of job opportunities to part-time footballers, with Gus MacPherson acting as a shoulder to cry on after each unsuccessful interview. DLBud
Oh FFS. Leave it. He's become a bit of a caricature now. It's actually quite amusing waiting to see when he'll pop up next.
slapsalmon
To be fair he's got a bit of a point. Play like that for the first round of games and there'll be no other option.
billyg
I'm sure Jack will turn it round , but heavy defeats go hand in hand with disgruntled supporters. We have a difficult start to the league season , any further 4 or 5 goal horsings and the pressure will be on !
slapsalmon
I'd hope he would, but most of his tenure has been pretty poor. A good end to the season and some decent football coupled with the great escape brought a bit of feel good factor. Doesn't make him untouchable though. Hopefully his new contract doesn't bite us on the arse.

TopCat
If ross gets 1 point from the first 6 games you may have a point Alex Rae got 3 points from the first 6 games before he got sacked.Indeed his final game was a draw at Dumbarton. car-d bud
Did he also not set precedent saying regardless of results the manager would be here 3 years?...........Only 2.5 years to go then
Mr Zo
I was beginning to wonder what had happened to this thread. Div will be delighted as this forum is probably at its busiest after a run of bad results. Here we go again!

I forgot he was lex, he adopted the menacing avatar of Alex from A Clockwork Orange. I suspect he is somewhat less menacing than that in person. billyg
Still plenty of time to get some steel into the side , but more performances and hidings like that v Falkirk , Morton or Dundee U early doors could force GLS to act ! Scott sees us as a Premiership club remember , and that's why Rae was out the door so quickly !

I think TopCat will be delighted if we beat Falkirk, go onto have a great Season and get promoted under the guidance of Jack Ross. Why wouldn't he be ?
