Guest TPAFKATS
Work Colleague was at Norwich Airport yesterday and they charge £10 to get to the gates?? Is that next Newquay used to a charge £5 tax on departing passengers. They were upfront about it stating that it would be used to improve the airport which was on the site of a former RAF base. Most accepted this, a bit different from the congestion shite being used by Glasgow though. billyg
I don't have a problem with this at all. Edinburgh Airport has been doing it for years and the money made from the scheme has been channelled into attracting new airlines and services to the airport by reducing landing charges in start-up deals etc

Indeed , the introduction of the tank traps in front of the building would have stopped a similar attack to the 2007 one anyway. .

pod
If your a bad navigator, like my wife, and end up in wrong lane, it will cost you £2 to correct your mistake. Wonder how many will get caught out.

Seaside Nipper
Don't go near the place in your own car. Park and fly if you are going away and tell those pesky auld inebriated relatives that come home from the Canaries to get a taxi. Simple. Only issue on the down side is the taxi basses go grumpy when you say Paisley town centre please, but not via Dundee.
salmonbuddie
Why's that a down side?
kevo_smfc
To be fair, a charge pick-up/drop off point has been in place in car park 2 for the last 7 years. The 'fly' drop off area at the bend on the one way system, which has now been shut off was sometimes creating two lanes of cars parking into an active lane. I feel the off-site airport long stay car parks will profit from the changes.
Kombibuddie
Are there courtesy buses to the off site car parks?I use Stansted a few times a year & drop off/pick up at the mid stay car park where it costs nought & don't get hassled waiting
