Hendo Posted December 18, 2018 Report Posted December 18, 2018 Also suggested we might be in for Paul Smyth, 21 year old northern Ireland international currently at QPR, won their young player of the year last season but out of favour this. If true, i'd imagine both him and Lyons would be loan signings, which probably means cheerio to some of our current loanees. Quote

Totally agree, we need a couple of them, one at centre half, and one to play in front of the back four. Quote

OK clearly stated at his Q&A, that it would be unfair and possibly a risk to sign a player from a part-time league to full-time set-up during such a crucial time in the season. Quote
Magic Monkey Posted December 19, 2018 Report Posted December 19, 2018 I'm fairly sure we've signed a Northern Irish international striker mid way through a season before. He weighed in with some important goals, IIRC Quote

Jack the lad Posted December 20, 2018 Report Posted December 20, 2018 Wonder if Ole Gunnar will want a look at all their players who are out on loan, see yeah Matty? Quote
aldo_j Posted December 21, 2018 Report Posted December 21, 2018 I see Accies have been linked with Tansey. Seems to have not worked for him at Aberdeen, but always liked the look of him at ICT. Wouldn’t mind seeing him down our way. Quote

The type of signing we should be chasing, six foot plus, has goals in him, spfl experience point to prove, wonder if Brian Rice knows him well enough to convince him to come to us. Quote

Transfer news Posted December 23, 2018 Report Posted December 23, 2018 I was sitting near Abdul Osman at the game today. Could he sign in January, not going to well for him in Greece Quote

I'd take him if available. And what about Polworth, anyone know where he is and if he's available ? Quote
djchapsticks Posted December 23, 2018 Report Posted December 23, 2018 Greg Tansey would be a very good signing for us. I'm hoping we can pull a Jim Goodwin type signing out of the bag...January signing, weakened a rival in bagging him and a complete bastard who we all love and other team's fans detest. Quote
ron Posted December 23, 2018 Report Posted December 23, 2018 The fact Osman walked round thebtrack and then sat in with the Sts fans would suggest there might be some truth in rumour he might be joining? Quote
Ethan Posted December 23, 2018 Report Posted December 23, 2018 Osman is on the slide. Not the type of player I would like to see at the club. Quote

He was captain at Thistle. He is 31, experienced and a big strong guy. My only concern would be that he missed a lot of last season due to a shoulder injury. Quote

Wouldn’t be overly excited by the signing. Quote
