oaksoft
We were the 10th placed non Old Firm club in the SPL last season. That equals our WORST top flight performance in OVER 40 YEARS. The League Cup win masked over that. That is a fact. You are massaging the stats to back up your point but anyway WGAS. What happened last season, happened. Most of us have had a gutful of what happened in the league. There's nothing new to add. It would be more productive looking forwards rather than obsessive navel gazing. There's only so much fluff you can extract from your belly button. The new season starts next week and all you can obsess over is a season which ended 3 months ago FFS. It's like some weird public display of OCD. We ended up behind Killie. Get over it dude.

The League Cup win masked over that. That is a fact. Totally agree and i agree that what happened in the league last season is old news and that the three loan players especially newton and isma were quality signings. My point is that surely we can pluck this kind of talent from somewhere on perm deals? Example being mcgowan. Granted it would cost a bit more money but i think it would be worth the gamble. A couple of good signings so far. Id be happy with a defender or 2 and newton back (even on loan) would make us a solid unit. So nobodys "knickerwetting" just some fans would like to see a few faces brought in longer term who will improve the squad.

Big Yards
We could go back and get that young polish striker we had on trial before we went for isma, seemed to be a very good player but we had to pick him or isma at the time

bazil85
Lets sign Riordon and O'Connor upfront get all the Hibs out of shape, wrong side of 30 rejects in! That will sort us out for next season....
JJ McG
1 loan player , 1 short term contract player expected is the so called word Both deals this week. Aslong as the short term deal isnt Novo, i would even take Beattie before him if we are struggling.

FTOF
I think that it is patently obvious that we need at least one other striker. A player in the mould of Parkin, although hopefully a better version would be a start. The Thommohawk needs more support IMO. We might just get away with Reilly replacing the "Guy" role, as he gets more experience.
Isabella Duke
I work in Edinburgh and know a number of Hearts fans. Was speaking to one about Grainger today. He thinks that Grainger is a great left back, good defensively, good getting forward, gets good crosses in. He did say however that his corner kicks are shit... Teale or McGowan can take the corners then. I'll take Grainger's other qualities any day!
Stuart Dickson
I thought the same until I saw Grainger last night. You'd have to hope it's just lack of fitness but his positioning was poor, he was easy to get past, and I didn't notice him get forward once. Out injured for a lengthy spell, only just getting back to anything like match fitness. Should improve with each passing game.
