foxbar_bud
We defos need some signings now We definetly need players, but releasing Div Barron doesnt make any difference to that. Has he featured at all this season? And cant have played much last year either.
billyg
Clearing the decks for a clatter of signings hopefully !
matthew_irving
Suppose but all it takes is one injury just think we need a few signings just to prevent this from happening
JM1
Seems like a decent guy but he was never going to be good enough. Hopefully I'm wrong, but I think he'll struggle to get another club.
Lex
Was a top youngster with bags of potential. Wasn't he POTY in Gus's final season? Sadly his career has been totally destroyed by injuries. Could happen to any player. Hopefully he gets back playing again, if not all the best whatever he ends up doing. Drew
Met Div a couple of times and he was a very sound bloke. I wish him all the best for the future, and hope he gets sorted out with something.
Sonny
Seemed a good bloke and always gave 100% when he played for us. All the best Div.
monster munch
Last of the 2010 League Cup final team gone. Will always remember his screamer which hit the bar that day. Best wishes to a lad who seemed promising but never really progressed or nailed down a position. Probably partly due to the fact he could play in so many positions before his long term injuries. In all honesty he was probably never good enough for the top division but he always seemed up for a battle and made some tremendous tackles in his time. Frees up space for new players maybe
djchapsticks
A lot of potential and extremely unlucky. I remember him shackling Aiden McGeady like an expert on more than one occasion. Unfortunately 3 years of injury issues has left him lagging behind. Genuinely hope he can find someway to get himself back up to speed and carry on playing at a championship level at least. He's certainly far too good to be languishing in the lower leagues or juniors. Good luck, Div.
Drew
Norrie on the OS says that Div is studying to be a sports therapist. Maybe a P/T gig at a lower league club would suit. All the best to him anyway.
Frank McGarvey' wonky legs
Ideal signing for Morton. Local lad and the chance to rebuild his career in the lower leagues.
Bud the Baker
Seemed a strange decision to resign him as he didn't seem to be comfortable with Lennon's football ethos and has rarely featured since - as ever good luck to the guy with the obvious exception of when he faces us. thomsons dropped it
Like so many before him who have worn the Stripes........All the Best for the Future.
Rabinho
Always liked the look of Barron when he first broke into the team, one particular game against Celtic he made a fool of McGeady a few times. Won plenty of plaudits after his season at left back but it never really got going for him again after that. Wish him all the best but I'd be surprised to see him playing at a decent level again. Dave The Buddie
Won't be missed due to how long he has been out for. Wish him all the best for the future. I believe after he signed his last contract that he was one who was earning a decent chunk of change and with him and Mair moving on who was one of our top earners that will allow us to bring one or two players in or enable us to tie down a couple of 1st team players who are out of contract in the summer new 1 yr / 2yr deals
kevo_smfc
We definetly need players, but releasing Div Barron doesnt make any difference to that. Has he featured at all this season? And cant have played much last year either. It does make a difference if he has been earning a wage for the last 7 years which would most likely have increased after each new contract. Isabella Duke
I thought that David Barron was a fantastic player. When fit he was one of the first names that should have been on the team sheet. Fantastic defender. Shame that his career has been effectively ruined by injuries.
