Dear lord.. you're scraping the barrel for a kindred spirit. FS will turn on you quicker than a ewe on a night out on union street!
any port in a storm i suppose....

I expect Faraway and I will disagree on something else at some point down the line but we seem pretty aligned on this one.

Just so there is no dubiety as to who this is targeted at, it is for Lord Pityme.  I do read all (mostly anyway) of what you post and would like to comment on the above specifically.  Firstly why is it a 'discredited narrative' to state that you come across as anti St Mirren?  Just who was it that discredited it?  As for your statement re 'rose tinted glasses' fair comment, however there no need to wet yourself with glee when things don't go so well.  Likewise sometimes people equate 'speaking their mind' with opening their mouth and letting their belly rumble, perhaps?  And finally; have you heard of the 'inner voice' you know when you can't really decide on something and have a 'discussion' in your head with yourself? Couldn't you just do that and save us all some aggro Please? And of course this is simply my opinion of your opinion of other peoples opinion of you and so on and on and on etc :D

So nothing really to add, just following the sheep. You could have saved yourself a minute or two by just typing that.

On a different note, does anyone else find it amusing watch a few i presume grown men, trying poorly to tell someone they have never met what he is all about, based on what they collectively think? The irony isnt lost!

edit: all this silly nonsense rears up again because some people cant deal with being found out over reacting to a few pre season games, followed by a Stubbzo team hitting six in the onion bag! That is the knub of this.... seethe & embarrassment.

Aye sure.[emoji23]

If you recall this wasn’t about “Stubbzo” at all. This was about your weird interpretation of Godwin’s Law pertaining to Jack Ross.

Irrespective of the chat you seem to find a way to bring it back to Jack.

You can only get away with twisting stuff like this when you haven’t typed it on an open forum.

It isn’t “what you’re about” as I could care less about you personally, it’s what you say in your repetitive posts and the only reason it “rears its head again” is because you keep doing it.

I’m about as pissed off with my team hitting six as you were with Jack winning the league last year. Is that about right?[emoji849]

I get a growing feeling that under Stubbzo's stewardship we are going to be fine this season. His feet are on the ground, the squad love working with him, new recruits are starting to hit match fitness, and we are beginning to perform as a unit!

add to that it seems obvious to me that he is carefully managing the likes of Heaton, Cooke, King & Kellerman into first team squad life. The first three he signed, and along with Kellerman need time to adapt to full time, professional football, the adjustments you need your body and life to adapt to, as well as the more frantic pace the game is played at up here.

Big Cole & Coulsden have Premier/Championship pedigree which is visually standing them in good stead, the other newbies will start clicking in now, probably not all at once... but if they are following their brief they should just be there, ir there abouts in the next two weeks.

the guys coming from English non-league are obviously decent footballers, otherwise Stubbzo & Rossco wouldnt have taken that leap of faith on them! But they have a massive, steep learning and physically demanding learning curve to scale in body & mind. That shouldnt be underestimated..! Its akin to taking a good player out of Juniors and expecting him to match fitness, endurance and match reading levels with an experienced Premiership player... it takes time folks! These guys will start performing as they strengthen in all depts.

in addition to the excitement these guys will generate when they hit form we've got more quality signings of the type Stubbzo believes will make us a better side than last season yet to arrive..! FFS talk as Ian Drury said talk about Reasons To Be Cheerful..!

To be fair to LPM over the last couple of weeks he's seemed quite balanced compared to others.

Indeed, mainly because he's not got it in for Stubbs....................unlike the last manager.

Thank feck its not just the fans then.

That is exactly what I want to hear from any St Mirren Manager.

And if they go for it giving 100%, then I will be delighted.

Win and I will celebrate. Lose or draw, I would be slightly disappointing but no meltdown.

Let's try and win.the League.

Oaky is correct.

Stubbzo passing up on Humphreys as he deems him not fit enough... i like the cut of his jib,  too many sides fail miserably in the Premiership by trying to get by with unfit or average fitness squads.

you have to embrace the whole beast to have any chance of success and that includes a strict, gruelling fitness regime, a carefully worked out diet plan, and a level of mental preparedness enhanced by specialist input. If you're moving up, you've got to challenge every aspect of your operation to raise its game accordingly.
