stlucifer Posted July 14, 2024 Report Posted July 14, 2024 Who would you like as a replacement/deputy for the so called NO. 10slot with both our current incumbents side-lined for the foreseeable future? Quote
rabuddies Posted July 14, 2024 Report Posted July 14, 2024 Danny Olmo has looked pretty decent. How much did we get for Bolton again? Quote

It's time for Jameson to step up and he could fill that role for a couple of months at least No doubt a loanee, or Irish player from EFL 1/2 will be the manager's choice Quote

StanleySaint Posted July 15, 2024 Report Posted July 15, 2024 I'm not sure we need cover for Kiltie at this stage, more important is another central defender. Quote

Ethan Posted July 15, 2024 Report Posted July 15, 2024 Hmm not sure how accurate this is. Think we need a RCB not a left. Quote

elvis Posted July 16, 2024 Report Posted July 16, 2024 So we paid an undisclosed fee for lacovet Quote

elvis Posted July 16, 2024 Report Posted July 16, 2024 He does have bags of experience and paying a fee would make that more than likely he's starting. Quote

Apparently Hibs were also in the hunt for him - could be paper talk but either way he had a very productive 3 years at County and played 38 games last season A good age So, all in all a very good signing We are still short of creatine attacking options especially with our current injury list and I assume Robbo will address that before the season starts Quote
northstbuddie Posted July 16, 2024 Report Posted July 16, 2024 Sounds a good signing going by this Wiki article:- https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Alex_Iacovitti Quote

A tall solid player as well As for the creative side, I have a suspicion that the manager will sit it out and wait for the crocks to return in the autumn. We might well have to roll the dice on a couple more signings if we get through the conference qualifiers and have a good draw in the play-off, should we get there. Quote

I think that's where the club are in a much better place....no matter the mewlings from certain people, we now get money for players we are shifting on (or are leaving eg Bolton) which allows us to do a wee bit more than just pick up free transfers and/or out of contract guys. Pretty much what I though as last season finished. Our final league position and qualifying for Europe were massive for us and pushes us into a different level from the majority of seasons when we were fighting it out with the bottom feeders. Financially better off and we, as a club, are more attractive to players. Quote
