saltcoatsbuddie
Craig out. Shuffling around technical area today with both hands in pockets, looking at the ground is hardly inspiring stuff especially after five home defeats in a row. Very few managers survive six.Needs to tell Teale he has plenty of time in the future to be posing around in a tracksuit putting out cones. We need him on the park just now, while he still can.[/quot What at a tosser! So what do you want the manager to do... Take to the field? Jeez do you have to be a complete moron all in one post? The thing about supporters is they tend to support... Where as you.......? its getting increasingly more difficult to support tommy .when they play like today ,much like fakes game only we got lucky, its not like we are playing great and missing 10 chances every game,we seem to bring teams down to our level and still struggle to beat them ,ict were rubbish today ,just like the green vermin ,motherwell, partick killie ,but they all beat us ,,but hey tommy is doing a great job ???????????? Callum Gilhooley
The occasional good performance we have seen this season has simply been papering over the cracks. Tommy Craig is ,at best , a half decent assistant. Only one ill fated gig as a club boss in his 62 years tells us enough about the man & his ambition /ability. Charleroi found him out after 5 months of the season, if he stays with us for the same we will be relegated for sure. We are led to believe the players wanted TC as boss to succeed DL. If this is the case those players who are still here are not performing for their chosen leader, Maybe he hasnt got the kahunas to be the Boss-man & not their pal. You have to then question his man management ability The players that he brought to the club are not making the grade, you then have to question his judgement on players ability to perform at this level. The tactical ineptitude from someone with such a long time in the game is astonishing, puzzling selections, woeful substitutions & inability to rectify ongoing issues week after week . His trackside demeanour & actions do little to inspire his players (both onfield & those looking for motivation from the bench) & he seems to inhabit his own little world when it comes to post match analysis !! Times up tommy, do us all a favour, its time for you to look out the Werthers originals & leave the managerial game to those who know what is required to be competitive in the modern game. Rant over , Thank you. Edited October 18, 2014 by Callum Gilhooley
Kemp
Every true St Mirren supporter must put pressure on the club to remove Craig from his post. Relegation is certain under his leadership, the man has no idea what he is doing.
NeilPar72
Half way there with 4 games to go Some absolute gold in this thread. ' everyone knows we will finish 11th ' blah blah. We've had a shite start, and we're still out the bottom 2. Wait till we start playing well So that's 4 points from 4 games. Not quite the 4 wins from 5 we had last year. In fact, even if we win the next 3 games we still won't match 14 points from 21 from the same period last year. Ah remember last year, when we had a decent manager and finished 8th. Good times! And as for us playing well, I'm still waiting! How long should I expect to wait?

billyg
Cant see me going back to games if things remain the same. Still can't see me going back. Craig needs to go. 5 straight home defeats in what is a very poor league is shameful !

We've had a shite start, and we're still out the bottom 2. Wait till we start playing well quite a change in tack from your approach to theprevious manager's performance. I wonder if you felt bad about the way you cheer-led the Lennon-out mob, or if you feel you were so committed to any change at all that you can't accept Craig is a disaster as a club manager

Craig needs to go. 5 straight home defeats in what is a very poor league is shameful !Is it not about time someone comes along and blames the home fans for our shameful home performances, lack of tactics, players looking like they don't know what they're doing, playing players out of position & being unable to score against 10 men for 40 minutes? buddiecat
Tommy Craig didn't concede the stupid, needless penalty kick that gave ICT the initiative and allowed them to defend that lead for the remainder of the match, even with only 10 players. quite correct, but he did give the captains armband to the plonker who gave away the penalty

whydowebother
I would not be displeased to see Tommy leave our club. The question is , how many games is he allowed as manager to lose before someone makes a decision?
Mid Calder Saint
He should be replaced now whilst we are above Well and County and not wait until we are in a hopeless position. Tommy unfortunately is so far out of his depth I am astonished that the Board are just sitting back. Most of his signings are well below the standard required and two are just not fit looking at all. If we make PP a player manager we can replace the current manager and play PP at centre half. Two improvements by one appointment. foxbar_bud
Unfortunatly Craig is going nowhere. Wont resign as it will be his last job at this level and i cant see the board acting anytime soon. They really have f**ked this one up. Dreadful appointment. Isle Of Bute Saint
I thought he was only in charge until the new owners came in? How's that coming along? It started 4 years ago and understand the club is for sale. Last I heard is interested parties with a lot of talk but never showing the bottom line - cash. Bud the Baker
Six days till the Ross County game so maybe this is a bit premature but here goes anyway............. Firstly let's dismiss the accusation that appointing Craig was the cheap option, the current BoD have a history of channelling every available pound whatever management team have been in charge throughout their tenure indeed for the past few years it's been around 70% of our income above the generally regard norm - further testament to their prudence. Next let's go back to May and the appointment of the current team Monday - Lennon out Tuesday - Craig appointed manager Wednesday - Goodwin & Teale given pkayer/coach roles I have no inside knowledge whatever the politics leading up to these events but it'd be naïve to assume it wasn't in the offing much earlier after DL's travails last season.* The appointments had some merit as they new incumbents knew the club, the existing first team squad and the up & comers from the youth system, in theory anyway as we seem to have slipped straight back into the old groove. My main gripe at the time was Teale being getting billed as player/coach - how many games did he play last season & so far this season, seems to me he's a coach that might get the odd bit of game time. Anyway like others I see nothing in TC's history to suggest he'll resign & why should he so it looks like another season of poorish results with us hovering about the relegation zone. ********************* * Regarding DL's eventual departure it seems us knickerwtters were closer to the mark than some of DL's erstwhile cheerleaders. Gordon Urquhart
Reilly on the park and Teale sitting in dug out with a clip board? Not right. Is Teale injured? If its not a broken leg then get out there Gary, we need you.
