Doakes
You going for 'blank canvas' next season ? Yep. Most of my St Mirren championship winning side on FM 2016 met a similar fate

The Original 59er
From what I've seen this season and especially last night: Jamie Langfield - Keep (just - not that impressed overall, but needs a good back-up to challenge) Daniel Wilks - Probably Keep but I haven't seen too much of him in action Jason Naismith - Keep Sean Kelly - Keep Andy Webster - Not sure, pretty unimpressive last night - maybe told to punt it upfield, apperaed to have little or no composure, probably a Keep Jack Baird - Keep, Just as he's young and has much to learn - lost confidence last night Keith Watson - Keep Jordan Stewart - Keep Gary Irvine - Keep Jim Goodwin - Like to keep, but will probably go Alan Gow - Punt Stuart Carswell - Punt Cameron Howieson - Probably will go - he's one of these players that I think if given more of a run could have been successful Stephen Mallan - Keep Scott Agnew - Punt just an no more - has good points but too inconsistent Lewis Morgan - Probably keep Lewis McLear - Probably keep Barry Cuddihy - Punt Alex Cooper - On last night's perfomance he couldn't beat a carpet never mind his opposite number - punt Kyle McAllister - keep Rocco Quinn - Unsure Cal Gallagher - Keep David Clarkson - Keep Lawrence Shankland - Keep Stevey Thompson - Sadly Punt
Lord Pityme
Not a question to really worry about. Most of the squad are out of contract, as I said elsewhere Mallan may get picked up, likewise McCallister. Galling as it is if Agnew is on a 2 year deal no one will want him and we will be stuck with him whilst out of petulance or whatever drives his decision making our manager will ensure Goodwin is gone. Expect to see Goody back playing for the opposition next season and giving Rae it up his ronson lighter. Most of the squad will simply go and we will have become like Dumbarton... A struggling championship club. Wouldnt be surprised if tne U20's get hooked for next season too. Rae doesn't see the point in them.

Add a couple of players to our midfield - find a strike partner for Clarkson and make a genuine push for promotion. Development squad are amongst the best in Scotland, and one of the few facilities with 5 star status. We've also recently announced plans for a new multi-million £ training facility. Not a chance we'll get rid of the U20's, regardless of what Rae thinks.
Sonny
If you were in charge, on current form, who would you want to punt / keep at the end of the season? Jamie Langfield probably keep Daniel Wilks keep Jason Naismith keep Sean Kelly keep Andy Webster punt Jack Baird keep Keith Watson keep Jordan Stewart keep Gary Irvine punt Jim Goodwin keep but obviously will go Alan Gow punt Stuart Carswell punt Cameron Howieson punt Stephen Mallan keep Scott Agnew punt Lewis Morgan keep Lewis McLear keep Barry Cuddihy punt Alex Cooper punt Kyle McAllister keep Rocco Quinn keep Cal Gallagher punt David Clarkson punt Lawrence Shankland keep Stevey Thompson punt For me punt more than half the midfielders although most that are left are very young to play consistently so at least another 3/4 decent midfielders required. Shankland will go elsewhere so a whole new forward line for me. A decent experienced centre back who still has legs to play alongside Watson. With Naismith back we do not need Irvine (who hasn't particularly impressed me).

beyond our ken
If you were in charge, on current form, who would you want to punt / keep at the end of the season? Jamie Langfield Expensive and unfocussed-Punt Daniel Wilks Dunno Jason Naismith keep Sean Kelly Keep Andy Webster Punt now Jack Baird Keep Keith Watson Keep Jordan Stewart Undecided Gary Irvine Punt Jim Goodwin Punt-not for the first time, a manager has issues with this man Alan Gow Keep till Christmas If Gow never has more than 3 months on his contract then he might perform Stuart Carswell punt Cameron Howieson Punt Stephen Mallan Keep, but sell if the price is right Scott Agnew Keep Lewis Morgan keep Lewis McLear Keep Barry Cuddihy Punt Alex Cooper Punt Kyle McAllister Keep till christmas Rocco Quinn Punt Cal Gallagher Punt David Clarkson Keep him if we can Lawrence Shankland Needs to be at another club Stevey Thompson Punt, albeit 2 years too late We are going to be left with around 15-18 places to fill in a 26 person squad, so there is no issue with keeping the Ralston graduates on for a year. For me, I'd like to see maybe 4 or 5 signings of superior class and the rest being made up of journeymen and improving youngsters. The league will be tight yet again next year and it would take major investment to even contend for the top spot, Several teams have proven that you only need to be able to score to get a run going in this division and we should be focussing on 2 front men, a pacy attacking creative mid and maybe one really good centre back. TopCat
Punt Jack Baird? He's had a few shaky weeks, but he's had a good season considering his age and the fact it's his first full season in senior football.

TopCat
Jamie Langfield - Punt. Worst first choice keeper I've ever seen at St Mirren. Suspect he will stay as he has a contract, let's hope it's not as first choice. Daniel Wilks - punt. Make way for a new first choice. Jason Naismith - keep. A fit Naismsith would be a huge asset in this league. Sean Kelly - keep. Not had the best season but has played well in a few games. Has done enough in his time in the club to get another year. He's more a centre back than a LB. Andy Webster - punt. Arrived with much fanfare and has been a disappointment. Jack Baird - keep. Isn't consistent - no 20 year old defender is - but MOTM performances against Falkirk and Rangers recently show he has what it takes to be a good player at this level. Keith Watson - keep (but he'll get a better gig). If he doesn't I'll be amazed, he's far too good for us. Jordan Stewart - punt. Not showed enough. Gary Irvine - punt. Has a deal for next year sadly, I think he's been very poor. Looks like his legs have gone and he just doesn't get forward to any real effect from full back. Jim Goodwin - punt. Too old and injury prone. Alan Gow - punt. Need I say more. One of Murrays biggest mistakes - and that's saying something! Stuart Carswell - keep. I think there's something there. Had a few good games before his injury, most notably a MOTM performance in our win at Cappielow. Worth another year. Cameron Howieson - punt. Not good enough. Stephen Mallan - keep. The only bright spark in a horrific season. Scott Agnew - punt. Back to part time football where he belongs. Not even nearly good enough. Lewis Morgan - punt. Been overtaken by even younger players. Had chances but never got established. Lewis McLear - punt. As above. Barry Cuddihy - punt. As above. Alex Cooper - punt. Very average player, certainly nothing special. Think we could do better. Kyle McAllister - Keep. He's very young but think he could be a bit special given time. Rocco Quinn - punt. I'd keep one of him and Carswell... For me Carswell just edges it. Rocco hasn't really done anything of note in his time here despite numerous starts. Cal Gallagher - punt. Amazed at how many games he's started, he's rubbish. Thommo did more last night when he came on than Callum has done for weeks. Been a big disappointment. David Clarkson - punt. Not done enough, expected more from him. Another let down. Lawrence Shankland - punt. We need a 20 goal a season striker to lead the line next season. As the numbers show, Shankland isn't that striker. Continually fails to show up against the better teams in the league, last night being the latest example. Thompson - is retiring. Stevey Thompson - punt
The Original 59er
Smithers Jones - I suspect you have been tooooooo ruthless there - I can't see 80% of the current playing staff disappearing!
Smithers Jones
Smithers Jones - I suspect you have been tooooooo ruthless there - I can't see 80% of the current playing staff disappearing! There is no way my selection of punts will happen, but based on what I have seen this season (all home games and a couple of aways) none of these players have shown me that they deserve to be here. Might seem harsh on someone like Naismith but unless he has learned to how to stop crosses into the box while he's been injured, he's included. stripey
Its difficult to comment as the present incumbents are sadly lacking fitness. As to who stays or go's, I'll leave that to Alex Rae.
