On the other hand, and more likely, he realised his stock is unlikely to be as high with a a diddy club and he'd not get a chance again as after a season struggling in the top league up here he'd be another nobody. Dirty Sanchez
I had as good a view as anyone in the world of that Jack Baird incident. Total overreaction from their No7. No need for it at all. Looked like Big Time Charlie stuff from him, which would be more credible if I knew who the f**k the League One nonentity is. Little prick. billyg
Spoiler Swansea offered Reid the managers job , or don't you remember , and Sunderland for McInnes !

Billy Reid turned down Swansea City to concentrate on unfinished business at Hamilton and McInnes knocked back Sunderland and Rangers last season but I am sure both clubs offered him substantially more cash than he is on at Aberdeen. Dare
We are sitting too deep and being overrun at times by a compact Sunderland side. Pogba lookalike in midfield but think it may be his sister with a wig on ! Need to show big improvement second half.

Wendy Saintss
Not at all , if he was confident of strengthening our squad and having a reasonable season he would have stayed and then would have had the choice of some real decent jobs down south , but no , he would have jumped at Barnsley too for the dosh !Don’t really agree with this.If he does a job at Sunderland, like Paul Lambert did at Norwich, then he’ll have the choice of some real decent jobs down south. And if he fails then he’ll still have earned a fortune. It’s a win win going to Sunderland. If he’d stayed here and failed then it would have been game over and a straight lose.Sunderland are a massive club. If he’s a success there then that will be a real decent job in itself anyway!

John Gotti
I expected Linganzi to get involved more but he has been quiet and after being dispossessed a couple of times, he made no effort to get the ball back. He will need to do a lot more if he wants a contract. Patterson looks lively though and is putting in a real shift, in particular he was barking at his team mates for not following him in a high press. Looking at the team though we are still very short of where we need to be, we are trying to play from the back and Sunderland are pressing us high up the pitch which is causing a fair amount of panic in the team. Sunderland definitely look a step up from us so it’s hard to gauge how we will do against teams like Hamilton but so far we don’t look great. Miles ahead of where we were on Tuesday. Also very experimental with the trialists. Neither of whom have been too impressive.
shull
Pity Sammy can't dive as good as our no 9 trialist or he might have saved the first goal. If that is in the trialist's game, then he can beat it. Imagine getting an opportunity for a contract and all he does is fecking cheat. Not wanted. BuddieinEK
Fairly even game up until the first goal which was well worked. After that we fell out of it.Penalty was a bad one to give away... Needless challenge by the funny named one!Despite the scoreline, Sammy has had little to do and we have had a good bit of possession.Big trialist in the middle looks strong and has a good touch.Best for us in the first half were Paul McGinn and Jack Baird.Just before half time, Baird had a great tackle that cleanly won the ball but also let their no 7 know he was not messing about. The no 7 jumped up and squared up to Baird, who laughed at him.Next thing they were head to head with the Sunderland player the aggressor and Jack just standing his ground.Ref lectures Baird, has a quick word with the number 7, and awards thrm the foul that he wasn't going to give till their guy squared up!Bizarre! He was fouled by a shove from behind whilst running into the box and stayed on his feet, then slipped on his arse at the tackle. He then clearly was claiming for the first one as he was doing a shove motion to the linesman.
