St. Mirren v Dundee (March 2019)

FT 2-1

Yas. Huge 3 points.

Quite a hard game to make sense of, but we won, great. Flynn, McKenzie and Mullen outstanding performers.

Dundee could have buried us inside 10 minutes. They didn’t, then they just vanished and we certainly deserved to win. Our second goal is a well worked cross, header back across, header in.

After that you’re expecting the stampede. Never happened, we had the better chances and should have won 3-1 in the end. Dundee looked bizarrely disinterested the whole second half. Clearly major issues there, and since they’re now 2 adrift at the bottom they’re certainly favourites to finish 12th.

We have 20 points this season, 7 of them have been against Dundee. That’s more than 1/3rd of our points against one team. Remarkable, thanks Dees, they really are rubbish.

We clearly have no problem dealing with them. Our problem is that we struggle against the rest of the league.

Regardless, 11th gives us a shot. Take that and let’s go playoff.

Yaaaaassssss

Gave Dee a goal start and they had a 10 minute spell then we got our mental stuff together and took over. At least 2/3rd passion in our favour and could have won by more than 1 goal.

Some great performances - Mullen (1st game back), Flynn, and others too.

A day for teams passing others in the League   Well pass the Fakes   ;    Killie pass the Dons and Hearts pass the Hibs BUT best of all Saints pass the Dee

Brilliant game, well done everybody concerned

Watched on periscope , not the best stream but a decent performance and could have won by more. Still not convinced on a few of our players but going in the right direction.

Would love to see us have a right go at Celtic. Get in their face

Seriously ? ?

Only 4 points behind the Hammers with +11 goal difference on them. We beat them next week and we are 1 point behind them.

Just hope we are tight against Tic and pick up no injuries

We must look to pass Hamilton and be completely safe - it means we can get on with transfer business  . . .

i hope for a smellic victory tomorrow and we stand a chance of a point on Wednesday

a rankgers victory .....and Wednesday could get messy

for the bottom 3 its all about the GD

Agree. If they spank the **** tomorrow they’ll go 13 points clear and hopefully might just take their eye off the ball a wee bit on Weds.  Here’s hoping anyway. Any points on Weds would obviously be a bonus, but we really don’t want to take a hammering (if that’s not stating the obvious a wee bit).

Not Great performance. But a decent performance think we allowed Dundee to come on to us. But that seems to be the tactics in recent weeks. Big for McKenzie and Mullan been injured all season but were excellent today but MOM was def Ryan Flynn superb all over the park. Hopefully get McGinn and Tansey back for Hamilton game. Apart from the first minute thought our defence was brilliant. Popescu and Musak are good solid players. We have a terrific goalkeeper Hladikay is also good with the ball at his feet. Great 3 points. Coys.
