That was a bit of luck that fire, as I recall, for the owner.

rabuddies
If this development is estimated to bring in 400% profit no wonder somebody was careless with their dog end?

Property developers in massive money making scandal !! Shockeroonie !! The alternative could be.... You know what ? You have a pile of 19th century bricks.... who gives a f**k . Do you want it cleared out and new houses put up or what ? Its an eyesore and in the absence of anyone who is going to "sympathetically " restore or refurb the site , get it pulled down and built on . I'd sooner see it demolished and the site made into a public area or something, rarther than the 21st century eyesore going up in it's place at 400% profit. But its not FS. It has sat long enough as an eysore , no white knights have emerged to revitalise the place and the Cooncil defo dont have the cash for it. The reality is , this is the only deal in town as far as i can see.

As long you understand my disapproval of yet another flatpack construction that looks like it was designed on Microsoft Paint for Windows '95. They could have just demolished the school and left a vacant space which would still have been better than this shite.

It's certainly before 3.00pm as none of the jackets worn by the young lads had patch pockets or tulip lapels. They came into fashion slightly later that afternoon. There usetae be a plaque on the wall of WG's hoose in Rowan Street (Up the wee cul de sac that led to the Crags...?) Dunno if it's still there. There was talk of a statue of him being put up. Whatever happened to that?
