DUFC V Saints Xmas eve

Most important game since the last most important game type thingy...............

We're chasing a moving target and might well be for the rest of the season, Ayr play Dumbarton on Saturday and Dunfermline play Falkirk so a defeat, to state the bleedin' obvious, will mean the gap between us and eighth place increasing. We could really do with a coupon busting away win or even a point to keep the recent momentum and relative goodwill going, there's no reason for the guys to be giving it less than 110% on Saturday.

COYS!

Dundee United's defensive record is very impressive.

Only conceded 3 in last TEN games. :o

Doubt we'll score so 0-0 at best, more likely 2-0 I'm afraid.

Goalkeeper Cammy Bell hasn't conceded a goal in 585 minutes and will surpass the club record set by Hamish McAlpine in 1977 if he can keep St Mirren out for more than half an hour at Tannadice next Saturday

If ever there was an incentive to score a goal..............................

TBF even if we weren't in the merd this would be a very hard game, def seen an improvement and I sure JR will have targets. 7 points bagged, maybe 10 will be target...

We cant think about other teams yet.................. Shame our turnaround didn't start with Sons and Pars at home, how different the league would look with us on 16, Pars and Sons on 14................. however that's gone and credit where...... we have shown fight, but as Sons demonstrated this is a very open league, every game is winnable.

Important thing is to give a good performance, United have pace , so I hope we keep it tight....... Plus hope its windy

Match in any doubt with current weather forecast?

Doubt it. The SPFL stated yesterday saying that they expected the full programme on Friday / Saturday to be played as normal.  Presumably, because wind is not usually taken into consideration despite the threat to safety of fans at and travelling to and from matches.  Strange that.
