santaponsasaint
It looked a good idea at the time, but if it only performs a couple of times a season before collapsing, what's the point? The club should have invested in something far more solid, more likely to be a long-term success and not be flat as a bloody pancake. Visiting supporters point and laugh, home fans shrug their shoulders and try to pretend it never happened.... but enough about Jack Ross' St Mirren side, how's the dome doing? Nothing at the club works. Training ground- knackered. USH- Knackered. The Dome - knackered. The Team - knackered. makes you proud to be a Saint [emoji45] [emoji45]

Add in the fact that it's a soul-less shithole in the first place, then you can add the stadium into the list of 'less than stellar' things going on around the joint. I haven't even mentioned JD Sports yet either. On the bright side though, painting the away dressing room jet black was inspired, as is this 'Billy the Fish' shite on the scoreboard. Stu
Would it be possible for the deflated dome to be shifted so that the pitch(es) could still be used, or has the layout been changed too much since the dome was installed? I heard there were some tears in the fabric due to storms in recent winters which were patched up at the time to get the dome operational. This time the tears are being properly repaired. div
Was down at the ground there getting tickets for Dumbarton. It's on it's way back up.
alexang5
Unfortunately it has never managed to get through January and sometimes February since it was installed. If it can’t withstand west of Scotland winter weather I’d say it’s not fit for purpose, given we are based in the west of Scotland. It was very frustrating when I used the place, trying to get guys to come along again once it had been patched up and re-inflated.

I must have just missed you. I was buying my ticket for Dumbarton and the dome looked exactly like that. If it wasn't pishing with rain I would have stood for a while and watched it go back up. I find it a fascinating structure.

Not quite Div. They need to inflate it partially to clear the Ice (yes, there was a lot of ice ) water and any debris which has accumulated. The contractors also need it "up a wee bit " before the patch / repair is applied . I would imagine it may come back down on Wed before its pumped up again. If only we had a resident windbag who could lend a hand with that part ! Now where has he got to ?
BobbyLavatory
Is it likely to be back in full operation by tomorrow?
faraway saint
Is there an approx. cost to fix this? With it's importance to so many people you'd think this would be a priority.

Work being completed this week I believe.

Anyhow, fixed soon has to be good news as I see this a major asset to the community.

Enough political threads on here as it is. Article from the Deli Record Tongkat ali has been traditionally known by many names. Some people referred to it as the “Asian Viagra” or “herbal viagra”. Because of its ability to increase testosterone, tongkat Ali is known as a supplement with sexual enhancement properties. In Southeast Asia, people is even ashamed to buy tongkat ali, thinking that it will uncover their erection issues. Eric Arthur Blair
From GLS's statement on official site "THE DOME The Dome has been down now for a few weeks. For me this is unacceptable but once again we are faced with a situation where the company that supplied it originally has gone out of business and there only appears to be one company in Scotland that can repair it! A template was taken last week to repair the tears and the repair was carried out today so, depending on the damage to the lighting inside, we expect to be up and running again early next week. We will contact all our long term bookings as soon as we have an exact date. We have asked the company for an estimate to strengthen the problem areas so this does not continue to be a yearly event!"
