He will also consider signing Samuel Minihan a midfielder who will feature as a trialist in the friendly next Tuesday away to Stenhousemuir. So just to help the rest of you - when he says that St. Mirren need FIVE good signings - this means :- FIVE good signings PLUS FIVE really good singings as well... Dreyer - type , MacAllister- type, CF (preferably two though) , LB, CB (i.e. Popescu), CB, RB, Goal-scoring and creative Midfielders x2, DM... Time for Kellerman, MacPherson, Erhahon to go out on loan AND Heaton to go away for good ! There that frees another 4 first team squad places to be filled with much better replacements...
