It's questionable either way ,  we have no depth , we're now looking for at least 2 front men. Ross is a player who will come back to bite our bum one day !

He'll have to stoop low.

Hopefully we have a striker signing waiting in the wings to try and limit the impending meltdown from some fans.

It may be a bit short-sighted letting Stewart go but who knows - time will tell. Maybe we could have worked with him as a project but perhaps the guy wants first-team football just now.  He certainly wouldn't be a first team pick for any team in our league - that tells it's own story. He needs to bulk up. Lewis Morgan worked that out at the age of 18 but Stewart is 23 and still lacking.

Good luck to him.

Over to you Stubbsy.

Like Craig Slater?:P

Stewart may or may not come back to haunt us. To date, very few, if any, players "with potential" that we've released ever have.

Stubbs has to have a better option lined up in time for Saturday. Otherwise, he has left himself wide open for deserved criticism IMO.

See we're interested in 35 year old Don Cowie !  FFS !

Good , experienced cover for McGinn.  If McGinn gets injured we have nobody to take his place.

Managed 33 games for team that finished in the top six last season.

What's not to like?

Maybe, just think we have other priorities, strikers, full back cover, centre half and left sided midfielder should all come in before another central midfielder. We currently have McGinn, Magennis, Flynn and Willock in there, who are four of our best players.

How do you know what he'd be asking for?

Any player with that level of experience is going to demand a higher wage than we're used to.

We're in with the "big boys" now, so we'll have to pay accordingly.

He'll have been paid well by Hearts, so maybe his demands won't be too exorbitant.

We've been crying out for experienced players that have played at a higher level.

A "McGinnless" Saints would be disastrous, without a player to step into his shoes, if he gets injured or is suspended.

I didn't mention injuries did I?

That's why Humphries wasn't fit enough for us.

You suggested that it hasn't stopped us signing players with Humphrey's level of fitness.
