Highland Saint Posted April 17, 2012 Report Posted April 17, 2012 Kris Doolan is on DL's list for Summer signings. My boss sponsors him at Partick - recons he is definately moving to SPL and us, Killie and Inverness have enquired. He still has 1 year left on his contract, so not sure what sort of money we would be able to pay for him........he is there top scorer, I think would be a decent signing. Quote
lovestreet Posted April 17, 2012 Report Posted April 17, 2012 If he's a good as some of our yesteryear strikers from the Jags he'll do for me. Quote
aldo_j Posted April 17, 2012 Report Posted April 17, 2012 Was at the Ayr v Partick game last week and wasn't hugely impressed with Doolan. Erskine and Cairney looked to have more to offer....it's only one game I suppose! Quote
class of 76-77 Posted April 17, 2012 Report Posted April 17, 2012 Dave J would be the ideal poster to give an honest account of Kris Doolan. Quote

David Mc Posted April 17, 2012 Report Posted April 17, 2012 Dave J would be the ideal poster to give an honest account of Kris Doolan. I know Dave rates Doolan highly and told me would do a very good job for us. The other Thistle player he thinks is SPL material is Paul Cairney. Quote
Nigel Hasselhoff Posted April 17, 2012 Report Posted April 17, 2012 Doolan is a poacher. He would get us goals, but the fans would probably boo him for not running about daft Paul Cairney and Chris Erskine look like decent players from the Jags as well. Cairney is out of contract and stays in the Moorings in Paisley so you just never know. Quote
FTOF Posted April 18, 2012 Report Posted April 18, 2012 Have heard that McShane is unlikely to be kept on and that Hamilton are keen to kep him.McShane seems to be enjoying his game time there and Hamilton sem happy with his contribution. Heard from the same source that we're after two strikers. I presume from previous posts that one of them could well be Kris Doolan. Quote
Naughtius maximus Posted April 18, 2012 Report Posted April 18, 2012 Cairney is a prick,if he signs for St Mirren I will donate 1 months wages to cash for kids. £17.50 for the kids then ! Quote
Nigel Hasselhoff Posted April 18, 2012 Report Posted April 18, 2012 £17.500 and we would be a little closer. Too far pal. Quote
Naughtius maximus Posted April 18, 2012 Report Posted April 18, 2012 £17.500 and we would be a little closer. Thats a helluva lot of sausages !! Quote
billyg Posted April 18, 2012 Report Posted April 18, 2012 £17.500 and we would be a little closer. Almost exactly the figure you've lost on roulette over the years ? Quote
Scott Lyle Posted April 18, 2012 Report Posted April 18, 2012 I've not been wanting to say but, £17.50 & £17.500 are exactly the same figure. Seventeen pounds and fifty pence. Not a lot of sausages and most have lost more running for the bus. Quote

Heard from the same source that we're after two strikers. I presume from previous posts that one of them could well be Kris Doolan. Is McShane still under contract? I suppose we could free him, right enough, but if we're looking for other players from lower league sides, a part-swap deal might have been an option. I'm not convinced that McShane has been given a fair crack of the whip, TBH. Another close season to see how he has developed might not have been a bad idea, but if we've got other targets, fair enough....maybe. Quote
