Griff
In my mind Stephen Mallan scores goals like this every day during training , hence why he got pushed into the team a san 18 year old , hunterhill laddie that's been with us since his primary school days by all accounts. a50lennyc
Well done young man keep the heid and work hard!!! and for a particularly rotund gentleman who frequents this forum commenting on how Pish our youth set up is. How many other clubs have 7 academy players playing in thier team????????????? Most clubs with decent youth academies never get to 7 youngsters in their first team at the same time because some are so good they get sold... Over a decade in charge and Longwell has brought in the square root of f**k all in transfer fees. Its been an unmitigated disaster. So they're only in our first team because they're shit and the system doesn't work? Amazing scenes. Did Longwell shit in your mum's kettle or something? And its interesting that the goal has been shown in many media outlets in South America. Does that help to bring in new South American buyers and attract samba skills to Paisley???? Well done Mr Mallan EDIT TO ADD: I started a separate thread on the above as it maybe opens up other areas of discussion - who is our most famous player and should we punt him and cash in on his new found fame? Balmullo Bud
Dundee Utd will be getting lots of calls enquiring about their wonder kid Stevie Mallan, after Soccer AM highlighting his goal this morning. Described him as ,"Dundee Utd's Stevie Mallan, making his first team debut???" Excellent knowledge of our Mickey Mouse league up here. Ah well, at least they took the time to show it and I still smile watching it, even after viewing it more times than could be deemed healthy. BuddieinEK
Can't be right, we don't produce talent from our Youth Academy. You misunderstand... we DO produce them... but because Longwell doesn't cut his toenails properly we never sell them on for zillions like all other clubs do!!!! ;)

pozbaird
Mallan? We should phone Madrid and offer them a swap deal.... We'll take Bale, they can have Ball. Edit: Relax folks, the Real Madrid manager was indeed watching Mallan - when they took on Inter in the derby recently.
