chez-RUFC Posted September 6, 2018 Report Posted September 6, 2018 We all know hes been sacked but what are your thoughts on his next football career move? Youth coaching? Assistant coach? Serious replies please. Quote
John Gotti Posted September 6, 2018 Report Posted September 6, 2018 TV work and some V9 sort of coaching. His days as a manager are done. Quote
pozbaird Posted September 6, 2018 Report Posted September 6, 2018 Punditry with BT Sport, standing with those brightly topped microphones beside BT Sports other ex-OF players... and Craigan. Will talk marginally more sense than McCoist, be marginally less annoying than Rae, and a lot less of a prick than Sutton. Quote
aldo_j Posted September 6, 2018 Report Posted September 6, 2018 Yeah - some punditry and back to youth coaching. He’s got plenty of cheerleading pals in the media, so wouldn’t be surprised if he got another gig. Quote
Isle Of Bute Saint Posted September 6, 2018 Report Posted September 6, 2018 £75k will have him. and his family a nice holiday after doing the Saints v Celtic game next Friday part of the BT team. After the holiday back to being a pundit on TV. Quote
RussellV1 Posted September 6, 2018 Report Posted September 6, 2018 Wonder if BT Sport will bring him in for the Celtic game next week Quote
Cornwall_Saint Posted September 6, 2018 Report Posted September 6, 2018 Same belief as the rest, TV and youth coaching. Can't see anyone hiring him as a manager after this. Quote
Hambud Posted September 6, 2018 Report Posted September 6, 2018 Wonder if BT Sport will bring him in for the Celtic game next week [emoji38]They will. He will love watching us getting pumped. Quote
Callum Gilhooley Posted September 6, 2018 Report Posted September 6, 2018 Certainly not got a career in motivational speaking or man management from what I’ve heard . [emoji107] Quote
DougJamie Posted September 6, 2018 Report Posted September 6, 2018 Taxi Driver.............. mind you his St Mirren stories wont last long Quote
Paisley brazilians Posted September 6, 2018 Report Posted September 6, 2018 Some old manager pal will sort him out with a coaching job. Pitty they couldn't have sorted him out with giving him some good players. Quote

I hope he didn't have to serve his apprenticeship in Wishaw.... Quote

Froggie Posted September 6, 2018 Report Posted September 6, 2018 Very glad to see him gone from Saints. Would love to see his ilk having to do what the rest of us have to.....find a proper job !!! Quote
StanleySaint Posted September 6, 2018 Report Posted September 6, 2018 Open University course in man management with a back up in sports psychology, then non league football management because he likes players at that level! Quote
TediousTom Posted September 6, 2018 Report Posted September 6, 2018 This week saw the end for more than just Alan Stuubs, surely Cole Kpekewa will soon be on the hunt for a job as well? No harm to the lad, like me he just cannae play football! Quote
Hendo Posted September 6, 2018 Report Posted September 6, 2018 (edited) Normally, when a manager is sacked, there will be interviews with players saying they are gutted and let him down. This time, none of that. Interviews have all indicated, reading between the lines, that they're glad to see the back of him. Even one of his own signings, Josh Heaton, said it didn't bother him at all Stubbs going! I really do wonder the level of what was going on there. Edited September 6, 2018 by Hendo Quote

The players looked confused and nHeaton was benchwarming under Stubbs so he's sure to have a beef. Quote
StanleySaint Posted September 6, 2018 Report Posted September 6, 2018 When players join a club it is the other players they form a bond with in normal circumstances not the manager so I'm not surprised if some of Stubb's signings are not bothered that he has gone. Quote
Buddie-Boy Posted September 6, 2018 Report Posted September 6, 2018 listed in the betting to be the next Cheltenham manager. https://www.oddschecker.com/football/football-specials/cheltenham/next-permanent-manager God help them... Quote
Magic Monkey Posted September 6, 2018 Report Posted September 6, 2018 Picture the scenes... it's a snowy day, BT Sport are covering the festive game at home to Kilmarnock, and they've got Coisty, Rae and Stubbs on the panel. Quote

Good on him. Quote
doonhamer Posted September 6, 2018 Report Posted September 6, 2018 Why are so many tipping him for a media gig? He could hardly string two words together. You know? Quote
