the P.D.E. IS WORSE THAN PRAVDA every day is aboot the saints young boy boys , this is a forum i am not a knicker weter i have my opinion we will not stay in the S.P.L. by relying on young boys, so cmon the board support the fans the way we support the team

Is that all of the team, by all of the supporters. I think not.

All the hate directed towards McAusland on here and Facebook is out of order. Completely out of order. Have a word with yourselves.

Sometimes I'm ashamed by a section of our support. Good clubs should be ( are ) like a family. It's about supporting the team and encouraging which breeds confidence which is a great trait in a young team.

Cheesy is a cup hero and a die hard fan of the club if anyone is going to try their best it's him. Feel for that boy he is under sever pressure given his fathers roll at the club. I know 10,000% his father has no influence what so ever in his sons roll as a player.

Goal machine I see

His goal to game ratio is as good as Billy McKay had before joining ICT. I bet many of us had never heard of Billy McKay.

He is a good age and has a lot to prove. Seems like his career has been hampered by injuries. I'd rather take a chance on a young tall striker who has played in the English Championship than Imrie or Harkins.

Well let's hope you're right if we take a gamble. I agree on the later part

He is only on trial too... so if he is signed I would guess he impressed the coaching staff and that'd be good enough for me !

TC in the Sunday Mail, saying that Ball will be given another chance to impress and that he has not been doing any full time pre-season training.

You could certainly tell. Might be a decent option to have from the bench, neither Marwood or Caldwell offer that physical presence.

Signing any player can be a gamble. Some pick up injuries and never recover. Some don't fit in to the set-up at the club. Some never get a run in the team that gives them the confidence to succeed.

For every Isma you have a Bahoken.

For every Thommo you have a Dargo.

For every Newton you have a Caprice.

For every Dilo you have a Cornell.

For every Goodwin you have an Imrie.

For every Teale you have a Grainger.

Others like Harkins just don't give a fcuk.

This guy is young, physically strong and probably he knows that he needs to make a breakthrough this season.

If he does sign, then let's get behind him and hope he scores 15 league goals and a winner in the Scottish Cup final.

Big Thommo has been pretty much an ever present for Saints since he joined us. We have needed his goal return every season which has exceeded our expectations. We need an alternative and a backup to Thommo moving forward. This guy might well fit that role.

Time will tell. COYS

He sounds like a good prospect to me, Derby have as a good a youth set up as most of the EPL clubs, they wouldn't have spent so much time and money bringing him on if he was hopeless. They could have easily cut him loose at 17 but they must have seen something in him to nurture him for 12 years. He could be a player who makes a real difference for us.

If he gets some proper training under his belt and loses a little weight would be a good support for Thommo.

Not seen the guy yet, but some of the best strikers St Mirren ever included Bone, Somner, Lavety & Yardley who would all be classed as big boned in todays standards.

If Hendrie deployed Yardley as his centre forward throughout SPL 00/01 then I reckon we would have stayed up.

As long as he knows the way to goal and can score then sometimes carrying a physical presence can be an advantage over centre halfs who are often big themselves.
