  • Tonight illustrated how lucky we are to have Stephen McGinn as captain. He came on, bollocked every Saints player within earshot, took the game by the scruff of the neck and scored the first goal

  • It's little wonder we get the nick-name St Boo. One poor game from the team and some of the new players, and half of the people on here want to send them back down the road.

  • Read the first two pages of posts made after the game then gave up. My eyes were bleeding. Knickwerwetting bingo in full flow! I must say I'm in awe of all these posters that can make a judg

We battered them the whole game but after all the hype as to how many we would score they had two golden opportunities to win the game in last ten minutes before we finally managed to beat their second choice keeper who had his one and only decent game

Sack the manager

If he had been sacked after a later Cup Tie, that would not have been a surprise to me.

Delighted to see Away support being housed in the Main Stand for a change.

Is the 1st home league cup tie not usually free for season ticket holders?

No

12 quid for what is basically a pre season game against a non league team.
Season tickets not valid.
Think I'll stay home and cut the grass.

I wonder if he'll shuffle the pack a bit to spread the game time around.

I'd like to see 90 minutes from Heaton, for example, who seems to be rated.

One of the reasons Stubbs gave for not playing the likes of Heaton, was he thought that pitching them in against a team of the quality of Kilmarnock, after only three weeks with the club, would be unfair to them.

Given the level that Spartans are at, then some of our other signings may well get a run out.

It was £12 to get into the aborted Bolton game, which is even more ridiculous.

It's a national cup competition.  Win our remaing group games and we go into the last 16.

Got to be in it to win it.

You cut it and I’ll smoke it!
I may also cut the cheese

We don't progress if we win the game. Glorified friendly, make it 5 or 7 and season tickets valid.

Which is precisely why I suggested on another thread that we may announce the new signings on Tuesday to whip up some interest !
