faraway saint Posted February 21, 2022 Report Posted February 21, 2022 Ach well, as usual it's all down to results. If he gets a few, he'll be welcomed, if not, we all know where that will end. Quote
shull Posted February 21, 2022 Report Posted February 21, 2022 I like his Interviews. Unlike, Dull and Dreary Derek, Boring Boring Brendan and Neil McCann. Quote
santaponsasaint Posted February 21, 2022 Report Posted February 21, 2022 Will almost certainly be our new manager. Welcome Stephen!Ffs do we ever get it right. Only getting him cos Morecombe are about to sack him. Motherwell sacked him. Why the f**k would we want him. Poor move. Must be the cheapest candidate knowing St.Mirren. Sent from my SM-A526B using Tapatalk God bless the boo boys Motherwell never sacked him, he resigned. Motherwell fans almost universally speak highly of them, finished third and got them to two cup finals. He's been doing pretty well at Morecambe, they are the smallest club in that league and still in with a good shout of survival. Having a read of their forum he seems to have the backing of their support. Knows the league and is a proven success in it. Has good managerial experience and a lot of contacts down south. Looks like a fantastic appointment to me! Quote

Sent from my SM-A526B using Tapatalk The Motherwell fans on P&B seem to think he did a good job, but eventually ran out of steam. They think he'll do a good job for us. Morecambe were not about to sack him and he won't be cheap. Quote

Morecombe in the bottom half of the table. Started well at Motherwell but just before he left well fans were calling for his head . But at least its not Brown. buddiecat Posted February 21, 2022 Report Posted February 21, 2022 No complaints about Robinson, hope the rumour doesn’t get Squashed. Quote
renfrew156 Posted February 21, 2022 Report Posted February 21, 2022 Good Luck Stephen hope you do a great job at our great club. Quote
JJ McG Posted February 21, 2022 Report Posted February 21, 2022 Good appointment, Keith Lasley in as his assistant?🧐 Quote
FTOF Posted February 21, 2022 Report Posted February 21, 2022 Just now, JJ McG said: Good appointment, Keith Lasley in as his assistant?🧐 Lasley seems to have been more in the background since Alexander arrived, according to 'Well fans, so a distinct possibility. Paisley man returns home................... Best option out of the names mentioned so far, with a proven track record at this level. Quote

Robinson was a very good manager for us and although it all went a bit off the boil at the end, he wasn’t hounded out or sacked - just had enough I think. Quote
mattman Posted February 21, 2022 Report Posted February 21, 2022 I’m happy with Robinson, wouldn’t have been my first choice but miles better option than some of the other names I’ve seen over the past 48 hours 😂 Quote
David Boyd Posted February 21, 2022 Report Posted February 21, 2022 Happy with this tbh. Thank fk we managed to avoid Brown or Naismith. Welcome Mr Robinson if it happens Quote
munoz Posted February 21, 2022 Report Posted February 21, 2022 Very decent appointment. Knows the Scottish game, and shouldn't divide the fans ( much). Welcome aboard (hopefully). Quote

TPAFKA Jersey 2 Posted February 21, 2022 Report Posted February 21, 2022 Well I’m clearly in the minority here but I could not be more meh about this and worse still I can see it turning out to be a disastrous appointment. Obviously it goes without saying I hope I am horribly wrong on that front. Quote
Rascal Posted February 21, 2022 Report Posted February 21, 2022 5 minutes ago, pod said: That's personal, lets not get into that. I wasn’t. I suggested merely that this had an influence in his decision to move, rather than football results. Others had mentioned that his family had been homesick. Quote
