So far, having Irish connections have proved hugely beneficial to us. Kierney, Goodwin and Robinson, all of them appear to have opened a door for us to talented players with bucketloads of potential.

Here's hoping this boy is the latest of them.

Since Ethan left we have been short in Midfield. Good bit of business if the lad is any good.

Agree we have missed Ethan. Hopefully he can put in a good shift against Dundee Utd and Livingston to help our top 6 bid.

Looks very promising, but the guy in nowhere near match fit and will only be getting 10/15 mins here and there.

It's great that he's joined, but we only have him until the end of the season. If he turns out to be brilliant, he's off, which is a shame. I suppose if he get's us that elusive top-six spot, then great bit of business.

We have the option to extend in the summer so sensible stuff. If he turns out to be co-op beef mince then minimal damage done.

That will teach me not to skim read!

I know absolutely zilch about this young lad but a little bit of research and it looks like we may well have got ourselves  a good ‘un .

Also , great move by the club to have the decision in our favour as to whether to offer a contract .  If he does well, tempt him with a longer deal and if it doesn’t work, the lad looks elsewhere . Minimal risk to either party.

Hopefully we get a player who feels he has a lot to prove and offer.

As others say. A few months pay at worst. Saints get to run the rule over him and, if he turns out to be a gem, then we're in poll position to tempt him with a longer contract to ensure we get a decent fee if he continues to thrive and the inevitable happens.

Forgive my ignorance - how’s his name pronounced ?

Like Cay-Lin  or Colin or some weird Irish pronunciation.  ?

I believe it's pronounced Quailon or possibly Keeylan.
