TopCat Posted February 6, 2023 Report Posted February 6, 2023 RIP Billy Not many players get Scotland caps while playing for St Mirren, he did. Must have been a top keeper. Quote
Callum Gilhooley Posted February 6, 2023 Report Posted February 6, 2023 I’ve not seen this reported anywhere . 😯 Very sad news indeed if it turns out to be the case .. R I P Billy 🙁 Quote
Scott-Leeds Posted February 6, 2023 Report Posted February 6, 2023 Jeezo [emoji25]Great keeper, I thought when he went to United it was a misprint at the time £80k should have been £800k based on his performances Really sad news RIP Quote
saint in exile Posted February 6, 2023 Report Posted February 6, 2023 RIP Billy. Superb keeper. One of my favourite players. Quote
Albanian Buddy Posted February 6, 2023 Report Posted February 6, 2023 Sad news. Billy joined us as a young lad from Partick Thistle where he was understudy to Alan Rough. He only got into the Saints Hall of Fame last year which considering his achievements was poor form by the club. Not the first time certain players from that era were overlooked. Billy used to wear international jerseys that he swapped. A great servant for the club. RIP Billy. Quote
Wilbur Posted February 6, 2023 Report Posted February 6, 2023 Great goalkeeper for St Mirren. A twist of Fate that he played against us in the 1987 Cup Final. R.I.P Billy Quote

He left under a cloud after winding up Alex Miller over wages but was still not as badly treated here as he was at Rangers, that nice man Walter told the press he was sacked before he told Billy.
