So chances are McGinn, or Grealish or both and maybe some others will get punted - if the offer is high enough.
Grealish for £20 M, McGinn for £16 M and they can clear their debt . . .

No way we could afford that emoji4.png

Don't you think Shull could afford that? Look at all the money he saves by not going to games; or buying pies or bovril.  :P

He's on a long deal at Villa, and they look like they've chucked the promotion bid now. Thing is, I can't imagine Jack Grealish hanging around for yet another season at that level when Spurs were so interested last summer. And will Villa sell them both on the same window? Depends how f**ked their finances really are, I guess.

It'll be interesting, but at least we've not budgeted for any of this so it'll be a bonus either way.

Villa have far from given up.Watch them go on a good run and comfortably make the Play Offs.

Ideal scenario for us is they play amazingly, with SJM at the heart of it all, but then miss out. I have no love for Villa so this suits me just fine.

Scored 2 so far tonight for Aston Villa

He had a really good chance for a 3rd last night too - but let's be honest, he is not the kind of player who scores hat-tricks too often if ever. A nice brace still and enough to help them win the points. It is all the other attributes he offers which set him apart too though. Great player and still on the rise - a big signing for the Premiership in the summer I suspect...

Yip 3 or 4 more wins in their next 4 or 5 games and they will be there or there abouts just behind the leaders.

Villa are 11/1 to win promotion , probably the best value bet about , with Grealish and McGinn back they will go on a run and be the form team in the play offs . Add Sunderland 11/10 for promotion and Tranmere 7/2 for promotion and you have a very good treble .

He could save more money by cancelling his broadband connection.

Please.

Seems like he's turning into a bit of a god down at Villa.......1;13:lol:

McGinn aside,  that's quite frightening.

See they picked up another win - 7 in a row. That is top of the form table for the Championship...  :bounce2

They only have 1 McGinn - we have TWO    :magic     :spud5

Their manager said they had two the other night

They're all laughing about how little he cost. They effectively used the sell-on fee they'd received from another player to sign him.

Hopefully our time will come.

actually, the final league match is Villa v Norwich
McGinn v Mclean
It will be great to see two former saints in the premiership-good for our reputation and good for the Scotland squad

Absolutely. And yet there are those on here on can’t understand why we should have an interest in former players.

Depends on the player i suppose.

Interesting to see how much McGinn is being talked up down south.

He's definitely a very talented player and one that fans love due to his all action style, commitment and energy. The slight negatives are that he can be prone to getting caught in possession and sloppy passes - particularly noticeable in a (very poor) Scotland team in recent times but it was apparent at Hibs in recent years as well.

The English lower leagues aren't all they're cracked up to be but let's hope that he uses it as the springboard as others have in their improvement. It would be wonderful to see him go all the way to the top like Andy Robertson has done.
