TopCat
Probably be 1-1. Probably followed by loads of posts like:' keep playing like that and we will be fine 'Just like we've been hearing since October. And in the mean time, the gap to safety gets bigger, and bigger and... 3/3.
FTOF
Should have seen that game out comfortably. Unless Quinn was injured, then Ross must take responsibility for this loss, as Quinn going off changed the game. Morgan and Clarkson should be shot for not getting the ball to the corner flag just before the equaliser. A ridiculous way to lose 2 points. saint in exile
What is it with Saints that we can't hold on to a lead, and we can't play against 10 men? Been that way for years.

Bearsden buddie
No excuse not to pick up 3 points today in the position we were in on 59 minutes! Absolutely shocking substitutions from Jack Ross, clarkson has been utterly abysmal in our team this season and that is really saying something, doesn't even come close to deserving a place in our squad never mind actually being brought on as a sub in a must win game. Completely clueless tactics from Ross aswell in the second half, when they went down to 10 men we should have been pressing them, attacking, and putting their defence under pressure, but instead he tells them to sit deep and hang onto a 1-0 lead against 10 men for 35 minutes, which for a team in out position and out defensive capabilities was never in a million years gonna pay off, absolutely clueless managerial tactics from him today! JJ McG
That's a sore 1 today especially with Dumbarton winning as well. All we need is Dumfermine to win on Monday! Looks like we need a miracle.
TopCat
The main issue with Ross is that he doesn't have a clue what he's doing. And why would he?He's an apprentice learning on the job, making his mistakes on the job, as you'd expect of a new manager. The problem is that he's going to take us down as a result. His appointment remains nothing short of a disgraceful decision and it is the decision that will ultimately relegate us.That's two experienced managers in McCall and Duffy who've came to Paisley in the last fortnight and taken a point despite having ten men. This is no coincidence, guys like that are going to have a rookie like Ross on toast all day long.We were a man up until Clarkson came on, then it was ten players a piece. If anything that dud is worse than a man down. He's the worst Saints player I've ever seen and I can't believe how many minutes he keeps getting. Balmullo Bud
You could be the most talented player in the world, but if you were as slow as Clarkson you'd still be an absolute waste of space. The importance of Quinn can't be underestimated. If he wasn't so injury prone he'd probably still be playing in the division above. It was the same last week when he went off. Total sickener today Buds, but try to have as good a Hogmanay as you can tonight.

It was said at the AGM that Quinn is unable to play 90 minutes as he doesn't train properly due to back pain. He will go off early every game. davidg
I was full of praise last week and for 45 minutes today they were equally as good. Last week we didn't get what we deserved but this week we got exactly what we deserved. You would have thought we were the team down to 10 men. 2 weeks in a row we have shown that we don't have the squad to deal with Quinn going off or the tactical know how to change it and cope with him not being on the park. Credit to Morton, they never gave up and went for it but we did everything we could to allow them back into the game. Bart Simpson
Do we deserve to go down? If we finish bottom at the end of the season then yes we do.That result was gutting specifically because of the position we were in and the abysmal second half performance especially after the sending off.For those not there or those who missed it, the game pretty much swung on the injury to Rocco Quinn and the resultant sending off (running next to Morton player, stumbled and fell, whilst the Morton player took a stride forward and flicked his heel/studs up into his face as he fell forward onto the ground). Prior to that we were marginally ahead, but Morton were on top in the first part of he second half. Despite going down to 10 men Morton regrouped and looked even better. We on the other hand surrendered the middle of the park and dropped deeper and deeper inviting wave after wave of attacks forward.Morton are third in the league for a reason. They clearly can get results that was self evident at full time today. In my opinion we lack the balance between the youthful exuberance and experience. Our experienced players seem to go missing or make even more silly mistakes than the youngsters do which is inexcusable when it happens so frequently.Make no mistake, we have turned a corner in terms of the football we are playing, but if results like today keep on coming we are going down. Like last term we need to start winning ugly and at all costs. There are the makings of a good few footballers in that team but they are lacking the leadership and guile to get them over the line in games like today. In summary...Quinn going off changed the game. We should have done much better against 10 men. It was brutal losing those 2 points in the way that we did. Bobbyreid
Jack Ross substitutions cost us the game today with the Quinn substitution. We sat deep for the last 30 minutes and got what we deserved as you can always rely on our keepers to make a total F*** up - Gallachers attempted punch [emoji85]we need to face reality we are going down and deservedly so. soldiersaint1877
Makes it even more of a priority to recruit to centre mid. Guy behind me said more powder puff when mclear came on, true but there wasn't anyone else to come on for Quinn. See Magennis picked up a knock which is why he came off but Clarkson, my god. I'm hitting all of my whiskeys tonight.Happy new year to you all. Can't get much worse on the park than this year!

Dibbles old paperboy
I thought we played well for 60 minutes and were worthy of the lead and Morton hadn't looked too much like scoring. They go down to ten men and we take Quinn off before a ball is kicked against 10 men, and then Magennis has to come off injured. Earlier on in the season a few people shouted to give Clarkson a try in midfield but half way through the season i can't think of 1 time it has worked. Thought all 3 substitutions were poor - sending McLear on in central midfield, playing Clarkson in midfield when it hasn't worked all season and taking McAllister off with a few minutes left to bring on Calum Gallacher. For 30 minutes we did hee haw going forward and then as soon as Morton equalise we manage to show a bit of desire to score all of a sudden with 45 seconds left. Today should have been a day to bank 3 points and get another shut out and improve our goal difference a bit as well. Instead we sat back at 1-0 up against 10 men in a derby at home and invited Morton to equalise.
